We loved seeing such great participation today for Orange Shirt Day. Each year, our students deepen their understanding of why this is such an important day and the significance of honouring the experiences of Indigenous children and families.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make today meaningful. 🧡

Our Grade 6 Leadership students played an important role in recognizing Orange Shirt Day throughout the school. They led our Orange Shirt Day assembly, shared announcements throughout the week, and helped organize a Cycle 2 Orange Heart project, which was displayed in front of the school. They also led a Cycle 3 feather wreath project, providing students with meaningful opportunities to learn, reflect, and honour the spirit of Orange Shirt Day.
