Copy of email dated June 17th:
Good Afternoon Centennial Families,
It is hard to believe that it is the last week of school already. Here are a few reminders for the week.
Today our students had a fabulous day enjoying activities prepared by the awesome students of River Valley Middle School! We are so thankful that their student leadership team selected Centennial for this awesome opportunity!
Tomorrow will be the Grade 5 Moving Up Ceremony. Grade 5 families are welcomed and encouraged to join us for this special event. The ceremony will begin at 9am.
Thursday June 20th is the final day for SISTEMA.
Friday June 21st is the last day of school for all students, and it is a full day. Students will receive their report card on this day as well. We cannot distribute report cards in advance of Friday; however, we can distribute them to students or families any time during the school day.
Thanks!

Good Morning Centennial Families,
Here are a few messages to share:
On Friday, May 31st we will be joining many other New Brunswickers as we Walk & Roll to support Disability Awareness Week. At 11:45am we will be going for a short (15 minute) walk around the track at Shamrock Park. We are extending an invitation to all Stinger families who would like to join us for this fun event!
One exciting new tool we have been using at school is our Green Screen. Many photos were taken at the Art Gala and once they are printed they will be sent home with students. We also started a YouTube Channel using the green screen to do video announcements. For episode 1 of Live at the Hive please feel free to view at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5A1lLT7Yl5c&t=7s
We will have our Stinger Assembly on Monday, June 3rd. We want to provide you with a little more information about the monthly certificates that we give out to acknowledge students. Currently our acknowledgments are for: Perfect Attendance, Stinger of the month, Reading, Writing, Numeracy, and . Recognition in Reading, Writing and Numeracy is determined based on a student’s effort and individual growth within the subject area. Students do not necessarily have to be excelling within the subject area to receive the recognition for their efforts and progress.
A reminder that we have many special events happening in June. The calendar will go home with students on Friday, but I have included some of the important dates below for your convenience:
June 7th - Transition to Kindergarten Day and all of our current Kindergarten students stay home on this day- all families should have received a letter about this.
June 10th - School wide field trip to the Qplex & Pizza Lunch provided by our Partners at Bell Aliant
June 13th - Marigolds on Main Street
June 18th – Grade 5 Moving Up Ceremony at 9am.
