🐉 What a Wonderful Day at Dragons on the Lake! 🐉

What an incredible day! After being away for several years, the Dragon Boat Festival returned to Saint John, and it was wonderful to see the community come together once again to celebrate sport, culture, friendship, and community spirit.

👏 Congratulations to the organizers for bringing this wonderful event back to life and for all the hard work, planning, and dedication that went into making the festival such a success!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the day so special:

🚣 To all the dragon boat teams and paddlers — thank you for your enthusiasm, teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit. Congratulations to all the teams who took part!

🙌 To all the volunteers — your time, energy, and behind-the-scenes work made everything possible. We truly appreciate your dedication.

🎶 To all the performers, musicians, and cultural groups — thank you for bringing so much energy, colour, and joy to the festival.

The Greater Saint John Chinese Cultural Association (GSJCCA) was very proud to be part of this special event. We were honoured to share Chinese culture through the Dragon Eye-Dotting Ceremony, Dragon Parade, Lion Dance, music, dance, and other cultural performances.

It was wonderful to see people from so many different backgrounds celebrating together. This is what community is all about — sharing cultures, building friendships, and creating memories together.

What a Wonderful Weekend at Saint John International CultureFest!

The Greater Saint John Chinese Cultural Association was delighted to participate in this year's Saint John International CultureFest. It was a fantastic event, bringing our community together to celebrate the rich diversity of cultures that make Saint John so special.

Our cultural booth welcomed hundreds of visitors. Guests enjoyed tasting a variety of traditional Chinese teas, including green tea, black tea, and Kuding (bitter tea). Many were excited to learn about the history and health benefits of each tea.

A special highlight was our talented calligrapher, Mr. Cui, who demonstrated the art of Chinese calligraphy and wrote visitors' English names in Chinese characters. His beautiful artwork attracted long lines throughout the event and was enjoyed by people of all ages.

We are grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth, our dedicated volunteers, and the CultureFest organizers for making this event such a success. It was wonderful to share Chinese culture with our community, and we are already looking forward to participating again next year!

2026 圣约翰国际文化节圆满成功！

大圣约翰中华文化协会非常高兴参加了今年的圣约翰国际文化节（Saint John International CultureFest）。这是一次精彩纷呈的文化盛会，让不同文化背景的人们欢聚一堂，共同庆祝圣约翰多元文化的魅力。

活动期间，我们设立了中国文化展位，吸引了众多市民和游客前来参观体验。

🍵 中国茶品鉴深受欢迎，大家品尝了绿茶、黑茶和苦丁茶，并了解了不同茶叶的特点及中国悠久的茶文化。

🖌️ 崔老师的书法展示更是成为展位的一大亮点。他现场挥毫泼墨，不仅展示了中国书法艺术，还为许多游客将英文名字写成优美的中文名字。精湛的书法技艺吸引了络绎不绝的参观者，大家纷纷排队体验，赞不绝口。

感谢所有到访我们展位的朋友，感谢辛勤付出的义工们，也感谢文化节主办方为社区举办了这样一个精彩的活动。能够与大家分享中华文化，我们感到无比荣幸，也期待明年再次相聚，共同庆祝文化的多样性！

As you head into the long weekend and are spending time with family and friends think about how much fun it would be to a have a team in the 1st Annual Tim Hortons DRAGONS on the LAKE Dragon Boat Festival!

THERE IS ONLY 1 SPOT LEFT!

Teams are made up of 8 - 12 paddlers + 1 drummer. Registration is $1500 with all funds supporting Lily Lake Pavilion's youth programs in Rockwood Park and Branch 69 Royal Canadian Legion's Building Fund.

Together we are breathing FIRE into our community!
