Our JV Girls are facing Harvey in Middle School Tier 8 Provincials right now, at Simonds High!

While Beaconsfield students don't have school on Friday, there are still opportunities for learning! Why not sort your recycling: green bin, blue bin, and containers that can be returned for a refund... and then gather the returnables for our Bottle Drive! Want more practixe? Estimate how many bottlea are in a bag! Admire (or critique) the designs! Review the ingredients and nutritional information! Then, on Saturday morning, drop them off at the school to support the Grade 8 End of Year Trip to Snider Mountain! Have a fun Friday Bulldogs! We hope to see you on Saturday morning, helping to fill the trailer at the Bottle Drive!

This Saturday, our grade 8s are hosting a Bottle Drive at Beaconsfield. Drop your bottles off at the school to help support our students going to Snider Mountain for their end of year trip! 9am to 12noon! See you there!

Our Culture Club always keeps the display case outside the guidance office filled with interesting books, facts, and artifacts. It's always fun to stop and see what they have on display, like this one, for Lunar New Year.

Volleyball Update for this week:
-Girls Tryouts Tuesday after school until 4:30
-Boys Tryouts Wednesday at lunch and afterschool until 4:30

An Extra Special Thank you goes out to Mr. Andre Dumas for visiting Beaconsfield before March Break. Mr. Dumas is no stranger to Beaconsfield, but we love having him talk to classes about the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame! He is a Sports Ambassador and visits schools to inspire students to participate in sports, share the benefits of staying active, talk about sportsmanship and fair play while also talking about the NB Sports Hall of Fame. Basketball, Volleyball and Football have been a big part of his life, as an athlete, coach, and referee. All classes got to participate in his presentation.

Before the break, our Lego Robot Club participated in a competition at Rothesay Netherwood School. They had a great time and are already thinking about next year!

This week at Beac, we have a new club, volleyball tryouts, basketball practices as our teams prepare for provincials next weekend, and multiple of drama club practices! Don't forget that it is a 4-day week for students. Staff will be working on report cards and professional learning on Friday.
