✨️ Playing Polka by Alexander Borodin with Aiden.

✨️ A lively lesson with Hannah working on Kabalevsky's Five Happy Variations, op.51,No.1
Careful work on small details can be surprisingly fun! 🎶😊

🎶 An imaginary conversation with one of Canada's great musical voices, Glenn Gould.
✨️ Elsa is playing "With the Little House Gnomes" - a charming piece by German composer Paul Zilcher.
Gnomes and trolls appear frequently in the piano music of Romantic composers inspired by Scandinavian and German folklore, where they inhabit a whimsical fairytale world.
In music, these tiny creatures are portrayed as nimble, mischievous, sometimes mysterious, but more often playful and full of life.
To capture this character the piece requires a delicate and "mischievous" touch - light, crisp and focused fingertip staccato, quick reaction and playful energy. 🎶
