Last week, your SRC team had the privilege of meeting with John MacKenzie, Deputy Mayor of Saint John, Cindy Pope, Senior Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist at ANBL, Ryan Freeze, ANBL Somerset Store Manager, and Rick Stephens, a volunteer with Cindy’s Garden of Hope.

We had a meaningful discussion about ongoing efforts to address food insecurity in our community and on campus. We were also incredibly grateful to receive generous contributions from ANBL in support of the SRC Food Pantry for the 2026/27 academic year. 💚

Thank you to everyone for taking the time to meet with us and for your continued commitment to supporting UNB Saint John students!

If you’re a full-time undergraduate student and already have valid alternative coverage, you can opt out of the Student Insurance Plan for the 2026–27 academic year.

📅 Opt-out deadline: September 25, 2026
⚠️ Reminder: Medicare is NOT considered valid alternative coverage.
