We just had our first in-person event for the year at the Brundage point river centre! It was awesome to see everyone out and we can’t wait for more in-person outreach soon!

We are hiring a new site coordinator and assistant coordinator for the 2022/2023 school term to start in the September of 2022! Hey UNBSJ! Let’s Talk Science is back and ending off the year with an exciting holiday event for Greater Saint John elementary schools where students will learn about dissolution and hydrophobic/hydrophilic properties. Stay tuned in the new year for more hands-on outreach and volunteering opportunities, we have a lot of exciting things planned for next semester! Happy holidays ❄️☃️

Or maybe just want to know more about university in general? Let’s Talk Science at The University of New Brunswick (UNB) is organizing a live Q+A session where we address any questions you may have! Come join us and interact directly with real university professors and students. Submit questions before hand, or, if you are comfortable, ask them live. We will have representatives from multiple faculties including biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, kinesiology, marine biology, environmental sciences, math, ststistics, engineering, nursing, and psychology who will be leading breakout sessions about their faculties. Come join us for an interactive and informative evening!

When: Monday, Nov. 23 @ 7:00-8:00 P.M. ADT

Who: Any Grade 11-12 student (or passionate 9-10 student) who is interested in studying in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field or wants to know more about university in general!

Emily and your new assistant coordinator Maddi had an amazing time this past week at this years virtual national conference! We can’t wait to get started as your coordinators!

For a during this National Volunteer Week, we're throwing it back to the awesome rural outreach our volunteers delivered this year!


1. UNBSJ volunteers Édouard and Arika pose for a snapshot with Daniel, a UNBF coordinator, before an ecosystem activity in Eel River Bar First Nation. UNBSJ and UNBF volunteers worked together to deliver outreach to over 200 kids across northern NB during November Break! 💙


2. Volunteers Jodie and Joelynn and assistant coordinator Emily grab a selfie on the way to Ross Memorial Library in Saint Andrews. This trio facilitated 3 public events in southern NB communities during March Break!💚

Happy 💚💙 Our volunteers are staying safe at home, but we still love STEM! Who else has been catching up on their reading list? 🤓📚🔭
