I collect donated items that can be repurposed to create art curriculum for my Community Art Programs.

Donate to Create is about connecting with people who have things/items/stuff that they would like to donate that would otherwise be thrown out or given away. From those items I create, develop, and teach a traditional, creative art curriculum to children, youth, adults and seniors for FREE or for a small fee. I collaborate with all types of non profit organizations, and the business community to

Next week Donate to Create Art Mamma Programs start, except now Art Mamma is a Professional Art Therapist and a Member of the Canadian Art Therapy Assocation. I can provide not only artisitic guidance but also therapuetic guidance in a group setting.
The main intention of all the Senior Groups is finding your joy and happiness to promote wellness and reduce isolation, lonliness, depression and anxiety.
Programs start next week and they are FREE at the following locations for individuals 50+ years of age;
YMCA Irving Field House - Tuesdsay October 3rd from 1:30 - 3 pm. Bring whatever art supplies you own and a mug to reduce wastage for tea or coffee.
Carleton Community Centre - Thursday October 5th from 10 am to 11:30 am. Please bring whatever art supplies you own as well plus your own mug.
Bring a friend! Please register or just show up and we can take it from there. It usually takes a few weeks for the group to sort out.
No stress or worries about previous art experience. Art therapy is about the journey and the relationship, not the product.
Look forward to seeing you next week!
Warmly,
Kim

Winter is approaching and there is no better way to improve your emotional well being that creating art or just being creative! Watch my Art & Soul TV show on Bell Aliant Community TV1 /Lifestyle and have fun. Hec I am told that I am even fun to watch!
During these unique times I wish everyone safety, health and most of all love.

ENJOY and please pass this along to others who you think could benefit from creating art. We could create an amazing Atlantic bubble art movement if we all work together.

Post your work on my Canada's Art Mamma's page and this Donate to Create Page. It would be wonderful to share the work from Art & Soul together.

Keep the faith and take care.

I start school this Thursday and I wanted to do a collage at the front of my lesson book. It is called...you know KUTENAI after the name of the school I will be attending for the next two years. My other Covid Collage Creation is called IN A HURRY. I wanted to see what I could do in less than 10 minutes without thinking just grabbing the paper, cutting and gluing. Sometimes thinking too much just doesn't work, but sometimes not thinking enough doesn't work either. Case in point! LOL Laughing at yourself is good for your soul.

I was accepted! I am now on a journey starting next week to obtain an Art Therapy Diploma from the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute in beautiful Nelson BC. Therefore.I took a small break from creating Covid Collage Creations to prepare my application. In celebration I have created what I call Flowers of Hope. I have learned the hard way that no matter what, don't loose hope! Thanks so much to everyone who has supported my community work as Art as a form of Therapy. In two years time I will be an official Art Therapist for our global community.Enjoy the series of Flowers of Hope.

Covid Collage Creation #33 Plates of Flowers.
The flowers in the collage were made from a magazine ad promoting their plate designs. I like them as flowers better!
Fun, colourful and after I share this with you the collage is going to become a birthday card for one of my friends. Collages make wonderful birthday mediums to do for family and friends. Try it.....you'll never know what you'll discover in the process. Take care and be safe.
