Global Nature School Focusing on educating & promoting awareness & sustainability through a deep connection with nature

A space where children can feel connected to themselves and to the nature around them 💥

Our idea is for the school to be flexible and focused on:
💡cognition and not memorization,
💡creative development,
💡sense of self and exploring life through the physical world 🤸‍♂️

Studying different ways of raising children in such a way as to reveal their inner potential, I found an incredibly interesting book, every word of which resonates in my soul! 💥

The author of the book, JULES HARE, talks about how to help our children awaken their inner potential and become future leaders. To do this, it is important to believe in the child’s potential and show him an example of your leadership. The author's main idea is that parents themselves must be leaders for this. Our fears and prejudices, old models and programs can interfere with this goal and negatively affect our relationships with our children. While focused attention will help build deep and lasting relationships.

👀Our children are watching us all the time, so where we direct our attention is important. By directing our attention to children, we show that they are valuable to us. Encouragement to join in your work is much more important than praise. It is not a good idea to talk to children like to children, but better to talk to them like people, like equals. We are all human, and we can make mistakes, including when communicating with our children. Our strength is that we can truly acknowledge and honоr them.

You can read about this and much more in this book (the link will be in the first comment 👇). In the meantime, I invite you to think about some important questions: Do you consider yourself a leader and in what way? What values do you convey to your children every day? How often do you direct your lively and sincere attention to your children?

"It takes a village to raise a child" 👫🧍‍♀️👬👭🧍🧍‍♂️

🥰We love our children very much and we only want the best for them. We care and love them to the best of our ability. This is why we take care of them, provide for them, and show them love in many forms. Of course we always want to give them what is best and what they need the most.

There are 4 things that children need, which are programmed into every single one of us the second our heart beat. We need :

1) Unconditional loving acceptance 🥰
2) Not to have to work to make our relationship work with our parents 🫶
3) Freedom to experience the emotions that nature has given us😆😠😔
4) Free play out in nature 🏃‍♀️🏃🌲🌿

We want to give love to children as much as you do and understand that life can be tough. This is why we are here to help! We want your children to feel the love from everyone around them and get the best support that they can. This is why in our classes we are also focusing on the expression of oneself and their emotions as well as providing that free expressive play out in nature. As quoted above, "It takes a village to raise a child." A community that is here to support each other and help each other out and that includes supporting everyone in the family.

💫Creativity 💫

One of our values for this school is Creativity 💫🌲🤹

❓Why though, do we value that so much?

Creativity opens up a whole other world. 🌎 It allows us to think differently, to find new answers, and to explore new avenues of getting the same and even better outcomes than we thought we could. It allows us to have new adventures and innovations.

❓What does it mean to be creative?
Simple, It means to play🥳 And I mean PLAY!! 🤸🤩
Play with the things that are in front of you, experiment, push them to their limits, see what more you can get out of those things.
This is what will encourage children to think independently and will already put them into the habit of asking "What else can I do?!" "How can I change this or make this better?"

Creativity doesn’t just mean to paint and draw and design things artistically. Creativity also begins in the mind. It begins with any of the thoughts “How can I do this differently?” “What can I adjust, change or add/ remove to get a different outcome?” “What have I not tried yet?"

This means creativity can be used in every single aspect of our lives! And you get to choose how creative and innovative you want to be! Having this creativity in our lives not only brings us more joy from our results but also benefits everyone around us from the new thought patterns that are being created and new inventions coming into this world.

So! Please be creative, PLAY, enjoy the new things that can be discovered! Be unusual, express strange thoughts, be original. Let's allow our children more creative expression!

Virginia 🌿🌻

I would like to tell you about one of the unique activities of our future school, which we called “spontaneous photography.” 📸

A camera is a great way to observe. Specially, surrounded by nature 🌿It helps to focus on interesting and learning things, arousing keen interest in a child.

Besides, photography is a wonderful way of self-expression. 🌟Have you ever watched your child show sheer delight at the way he/she captured the picture and how excited he/she was to share it with you and friends?

As a school that helps children to reach the potential and develop learning in the world around them through a deep connection with nature, we cannot help but use this tool in our teaching process! 💡

The shots often turn out funny, interesting and very beautiful! But sometimes they also have a deep artistic or social meaning 🔥 It is important to discuss this with children, shaping not only their taste and technical skills, but also their desire to learn and their worldview.

When working on the concept of our school, we talk a lot about what the learning process looks like. We defined one of our important concepts as: “not memorization, but cognition.”

💡What does this mean?

Most educational systems are built on memorization and development of logic, which is good, but not enough, because it does not attract interest, does not involve the body and spirit, intuition and motivation in the learning process. It also does not provide practical skills, only tools, but not the ability to use them.

💥We will focus on the learning process, which involves personal growth, knowledge about myself and the world around, answers to important questions that arise during this knowledge. Knowledge to be aware:

👉 Who am I, what do I want and what can I do? How can I support myself, connect with other people and nature? How to find my favorite things and not be afraid to try new things? How to develop my spirit, mind and body? What are sciences for? How can I develop the survival skills? What is the nervous system and how does proper breathing help us? What habits will help us be happy?...

We will help children to be themselves, to understand their emotions, true interests, to grow the personalyty, to be awered and stable through a connection with nature 🌱

To be continued...

It's time to share another one of our planned classes!

🌿Forest Walking🌿

What do we mean by forest walking? Well, the forest is a very magical place to be and there is so much to learn! In this class, students will join us in an explorative walk through the forests surrounding this beautiful city.

❓What are some important skills and lessons that students will learn?

Connection with Earth
Cycles of life
Experiencing life through different thought patterns
Ingenuity in construction
Motor skills
Responsibility for Earth
Survival skills

❓How will they learn those skills and lessons?

By assembling structures
By climbing, running, moving the body
By cleaning our earth
By storytelling
By using different tools to create different outcomes
By working together as a team
By watching the changes in seasons and watching life transform

We are so excited to see our students grow in their thinking patterns, body movements, and care for our earth and for each other!💕

❗️Let us know what else you think would be great to include in our Forest Walks🌿🌲 We are always happy to hear your thoughts 😄

Saint John is one of the most magical places to live✨🌿

✨The magic is everywhere and all so close to us! It's in the air, in our forests, and in the ocean🌏

1) The sounds of the waves. Hearing and watching moving water influences our brain waves and calms us 🧠🌊

2) The interconnectedness of living organisms and closeness of wildlife in our forests connects us more to nature which in turn also brings us more peace🦌🌲

3) Being about 10 minutes from any kind of water or nature gives us easy access to get connected and allow our playfulness, creativity and joy to come out every time we are surrounded by these beautiful things🌲🌊

4) The magic of having the highest tides and having them come twice a day is special only to our city! Not a single place in the world has this amazing phenomenon. We are lucky to see the tide flow in and out every single day. To play on the beaches at low tide and explore the sea life that supports our ecosystem🐬

5) The mystical properties of the Reversing Falls. The changing direction of the flow of water and with riptides that could crush boats with ease. This area has a magic all of its own. Its incredible story told by the Indigenous piques our interest of how these falls came about. (I recommend looking it up, it's a wonderful legend) The twists, turns and gurgling of the water mesmerize us to the cells under our skin. What magic, what absolute beauty ✨

This is why having a nature school in this area is so beneficial. It's magical, creative, playful and beautiful. What else could we give our children to help them reach their greatest potential, encourage them to excel in all areas of life and inspire them to go beyond their wildest dreams! ✨🌿

Life is magical and we deserve to enjoy it 🥰

It's absolutely fantastic to create a program for a nature school! 💥
In the process of discussion, incredible options are born that the heart feels as very healing and supportive. We are starting to share some of our ideas that will come to life very soon! Three of them:

🌱Forest Walking Program: This is a way to connect with the environment and reap its benefits for physical and mental well-being. Walks that include elements of survival skills, climbing, quests and much more! 🔥

🥗Gardening and cooking! Isn't it great to grow something with your own hands and then cook it for a healthy and tasty meal? Or make a small flowering garden that will delight the eye every day? Children love to dig in the soil, and when it bears fruit, it’s double the joy! 👍

🤸‍♂️Physical and spiritual development: outdoor sports, field games, open-air cinema, yoga - this is just a small list of what we plan to do with our young students! 🤩

We also invite our community of thoughtful and intelligent parents to participate in the process of creating our schedule and share your thoughts: what would you like to see in our school? 💡

In the meantime, we are creating a program and writing a business plan for the school, we will be opening registration for children from 9 to 12 years old for the spring that is coming! Don't miss our announcements ☝️

Why is it so important to connect with nature? 🌿🍃

💫"We are nature, we belong to nature..."✨

Bandile Phiri perfectly explains how disconnected we are from Mother Nature, especially in the areas of life where She is needed the most. In our educational system, where our future generations need that guidance to help them create the amazing future they want for themselves.

🌏Nature opens up our minds and inspires us to get creative whether it is mathematically, artistically, scientifically, in any way that the child excels. It gives enjoyment to learn and curiosity to discover more. It gives them air to breathe and space to expand their thoughts. 💭🗯

Nature is what gives us life 🌿

Our education system got us to our current state of evolution, but Bandile Phiri doesn't believe it is right for the needs of future students. She calls for ...

Anger, What is your anger about? 😡

So often we are told that being angry is bad, shameful, or disgusting. In reality, anger is actually telling us a lot about ourselves or a situation and it is healthy for us to feel. So what does it teach us?

📌Anger reveals boundaries
📌Anger heals trauma
📌Anger inspires action

Being mindful of this and proactively taking the steps to work with anger can benefit us greatly and give us the self love to set boundaries and get the love and care that we need and deserve. There are four steps that we can do to listen to our anger and take action ❤️‍🔥

1) Breath- slow things down
2) Name it- "I feel angry!"
3) Do it differently- "I am hurting right now." Allow your body to show that emotion by: clenching your fists, baring your fangs, or even growling. (you might think it looks funny but, man does it feel good to allow yourself to do it)
4) Inquire- listen to this anger. ask yourself "What do I need to see right now that I have been unwilling to face?" "What needs to be protected and supported?"

It is a bit of work but, the benefits of kindly approaching anger with love will allow us to be better and more loving humans. 💕💕
