Mrs. Ward and the grade 6 class made a visit to Rockwood Park yesterday. They spotted many signs of spring!! 🦁🦆

Who knew... this week is Vice Principals' Week! A shout out to our own Mr. Paterson!!

Mrs. Ward-Huskins' grade 3 class went on a PALS in the Park trip yesterday. They had a wonderful morning learning about the birds of Rockwood. With the help of their guide they learned about crows, seagulls, mallard ducks, American robins, Canada Geese, chickadees and a song sparrow. Learning outside the classroom! Simply the BEST!🦁🦆

Mrs. Tower leads her Kindergarten class through Heggerty videos to support their Literacy growth! Another example of cutting edge instruction at PCS! 🦁📘

🗓️Reminder: We have a very short week! No classes for students Thursday, April 2. Our staff will be engaged in parent teacher interviews and professional learning.

Today is April Fools' Day and guess what happened... Mme Beckwith's grade 5 class went missing today and they were replaced by a "fluffle" of bunnies! They spent some time learning French Easter vocabulary! Fun with French!!! 🐰🐰

What a special day at PCS! We had lunch delivered thanks to CLOW Canada and retiring VP, Rick Benoit! What a treat, our Monarchs we so excited and thankful!!!! Thanks Mr. Benoit, enjoy your retirement!🎉🎉

What a match yesterday! Our Monarchs visited PES for an exciting volleyball match up! The team did not disappoint! Too many outstanding performances to mention! Thanks to Aria's family who joined, Mr. Brillant, Ms. McLaughlin, Mrs. Ward, Mr McVicar and Mrs Doyle to cheer the team on! Of course we can't forget Mrs. Simpson our A+ coach!!! Great job!!!

What does Monarch learning look like? Mrs. Tower's Kindergarten is a peaceful place of learning!! So many different things happening all at once seamlessly! 🦁❤️
