Meet one of our Instructors, Avonlea Martin!
Avonlea Martin is an Ontario educator, literacy leader, and mentor teacher with over 20 years of experience supporting student and teacher success. Currently teaching Grade 7, she is passionate about Structured Literacy, Environmental and Sustainability Education, and helping educators translate research into practical classroom strategies.
Avonlea holds a Master of Education for Change and has enjoyed developing and facilitating professional learning for educators through course writing, resource development and instruction. She loves collaborating with colleagues, exploring innovative teaching practices, and creating learning experiences that are engaging, inclusive, and meaningful for all learners.

We are exactly one week away from our Speaking with Pride event with Pride Niagara. If you are unable to make it to the event in person, we have our virtual Lunch and Learn session featuring guest speaker, Dr. Ryan Persadie.
Join Dr. Ryan Persadie, a q***r Indo-Trinidadian social justice educator and drag artist, as he draws upon over ten years of ethnographic fieldwork, research, and youth engagement to address contemporary issues facing LGBTQI+ Caribbean communities in Ontario.
