When his student missed the first lesson after recital, our teacher Scott made this personalized video lesson to guide that reflection.

We’ll build on those strengths and work toward that wish together, helping the student head into the next performance with confidence and a goal of their own.

Around here, the P word is practically a swear word.

Practice.

For a lot of us, it brings back memories of being told, “Go practice!” when all we wanted to do was play our favorite song. At Dominelli Music we are all unlearning that pressure and finding our way back to the joy of making music.

We want students to find the teacher, instrument, and songs that make them WANT to pick up their instrument. That’s when “I have to practise” starts to become “I want to play.”

And if you don’t have time for any of the P words outside your lesson? That’s okay, too. Come as you are. We’ll meet you where you’re at, with no guilt and no pressure. You can learn at your own pace.

Let’s bring the joy back to PLAYing music.
