On February 26, 2025 Canadians will take a stand against bullying and wear pink shirts to show their support for safe and inclusive schools, workplaces and communities. Shirt Day

And that's a wrap! Here is (most of) the SIDES team that attended D2L Fusion. Lots of great sessions in the great city of Toronto.

The Witness Blanket Exhibit is on display at Stelly’s Secondary School. There is an opportunity on May 6, 2024 from 4-7pm for the public to attend and explore the exhibit. Please see the poster for details.

The Saanich International Student Program (SISP) is looking for caring host families to welcome International students into their families and homes this September, 2024.

Students will be attending , and Secondary Schools and come to Saanich for 4, 5 or 10 months.

Provide a private room, meals, emotional and academic support and inclusion in family life, and receive a 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 $𝟭,𝟮𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 for expenses incurred.

Join a 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 to learn more on one of the following dates (drop in anytime between 5-7pm for all dates):

- Thursday, March 7 @ Claremont Secondary
- Wednesday, April 10 @ Stelly’s Secondary
- Thursday, May 2 @ Claremont Secondary

Living Edge demonstrates compassion for the needs of food insecure families in Greater Victoria.
Since 2011, Living Edge has been freely providing groceries on a weekly basis. They specialize in providing fresh food – not just canned goods – to local residents. Today they provide food for seven neighbourhood markets in the Greater Victoria Area.

We are excited to announce that SIDES has partnered with EF Educational Tours to offer students interested in taking Life Science 11 the chance to travel to Costa Rica while earning 4 credits toward graduation. Students who register for the program will be able to earn credit for Life Science 11 by participating in a blend of online learning and in-person learning at SIDES (April - August 2024) plus one week of travel in Costa Rica (July 2024) with EF Educational Tours.
