For more than two decades, you have been a mentor, leader, colleague, and friend. Mr. Lafleur is a true pillar of the STA family. Your commitment to our students, your passion for education, and your countless contributions to Athletics have left a lasting legacy.

Yesterday we celebrated the achievements, perseverance, and growth of an incredible group of graduates. Your hard work, resilience, and commitment have brought you to this milestone, and we couldn't be prouder.

As you leave the halls of STA and begin your next chapter, carry with you the friendships you've built, the lessons you've learned, and the values that have shaped you. We look forward to celebrating our Grade 8 students this afternoon as they mark this important milestone and prepare to transition to Grade 9 in the fall. Parents and guardians are warmly invited to join us, with doors opening at 12:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place in the gymnasium. We are excited to recognize our students’ achievements and wish them continued success in the next chapter of their educational journey at STA.

After 13 years of creating and sharing content for our school, I am officially transitioning away from my role as STA’s school social media lead.

Friday marked the final day of exams for our Grade 12 students, and I thought it would be nice to send them off with a little Farewell Fuel before they wrote. We shared a simple breakfast together before exams, and it felt like the perfect final post for me to share.

What started with Twitter, now known as X, eventually grew to include Facebook and Instagram. At one point, students even convinced me to start a school TikTok. I posted once, and that was enough for me!

Over the years, I have loved taking photos, writing blurbs, creating posts, sharing information, and helping showcase all of the incredible things happening in our school community. From academics and athletics to music, clubs, events, spirit days, celebrations, and everyday student life, it has been such a privilege to help tell STA’s story.

I am so proud of our students, staff, teams, clubs, coaches, and school community. There is always something amazing happening at STA, and I have truly loved being able to share those moments.

As I transition away from this role, I am excited to put more focus, energy, and effort into health and wellness initiatives at STA, something I am extremely passionate about.

Thank you for letting me be a small part of sharing the heart of our school for the past 13 years.

Boys and Girls 7/8 Softball teams had a great time on Tuesday, June 16 in Russell. They competed hard, had some fun and represented our school very well.

The boys made it to finals and lost in a tight match. The girls team improved throughout the day and grew as a team.

On Friday, June 12th, the STA Senior Band hit the road and travelled to St. Mother Theresa and St. Mary’s to perform. The musicians brought their best to the performances and made an enjoyable day! Songs performed included ‘Variants on a Shaped Note Tune’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, ‘In the Mood’, ‘Seven Nation Army’, ‘When I’m 64’ and ‘Crazy Train’. The Senior Band should be so proud of their musical accomplishments, and represented STA with pride. Thank you and bravo!
