The students absolutely loved this special treat, and we are so grateful for the countless hours you dedicate to supporting our school and making memorable experiences possible. So… we tried our hand at photography and of course, our subjects were native plants! 🌼🍃

Some of our Grade 4 students used the tools on their iPads to enhance their favourite images. By zooming in, adjusting the exposure, and exploring different photography features, these young photographers collaborated with one another and couldn’t wait to share their final works of art. 🎨✨

What a wonderful way to combine technology, creativity, and an appreciation for the natural world! 💙🌎

🏅🏃‍♀️ Congratulations to Our Track & Field Winners! 🏃‍♂️🏅

We are so proud of all of our Grade 4, 5, and 6 students for their outstanding efforts at Track & Field Day! 🌟 Throughout the day, we saw heart, perseverance, strength, and determination from each and every participant. 💪👏

It was wonderful to spend the day outdoors with friends, cheering one another on, celebrating successes, and creating lasting memories together. ☀️💙

🦋🌿 Outdoor Learning in Action! 🌿🦋

Our Grade 3 & 4 students were thrilled to be learning once again in our Outdoor Classroom and Native Butterfly Garden this week! ☀️🌸

We were fortunate to welcome Manon, a Butterflyway Ranger with the David Suzuki Foundation, who shared her passion and extensive knowledge of pollinator gardens. Students were captivated as they learned about spittlebugs, pollinators, and many other fascinating aspects of the natural world around them. 🐝🔍✨

Staff also had the opportunity to build their own capacity while enjoying a Growing Seeds of Learning luncheon together. 🌱💙

At St. MTCS, we remain committed to making our local community a better place for all living things and inspiring our students to be environmental stewards. 🌎💚

Today, our students proudly showcased their creativity, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit by making and selling a variety of products at their PowerPlay Market! 🎉👏

Through dedication, teamwork, and innovation, they successfully earned money and will be giving back by donating a portion of their profits to charity. 💙💛

🐮✨ A few teachers participated in an ‘Adopt-a-Cow’ program this year, receiving monthly updates, pictures, and videos about their calf. As their classes get ready to say goodbye to their class mascot Ivy, they had a very special visitor this morning! 💙

A calf from Rusland Farms stopped by with Mr. Versteeg and Mrs. Barton, giving students the opportunity to pet her, learn more about farm life, and ask lots of thoughtful questions. 🌾🐄

Thank you for such a memorable visit! Students absolutely loved the experience.
