Our Grade 9 Technology and Skilled Trades students have been busy caring for chicks they hatched in class, including Silkies, Silverside Isbars, Ameraucanas, and Marans! Visiting the chicks has quickly become a favourite way to start class and a great incentive to finish their work. We’re proud of the care, compassion, and responsibility our students continue to show toward their feathered friends! 🐣🐥

Attention all book worms: book club is back! If you are a secondary student who loves all things books, come to room 166 today at lunch.


Minecraft Club is today in room 124! It will run from 11:15 until 11:50, so please eat your lunch before coming to room 124.


The Yearbook class will start on Tuesday! That’s right – when we come back from the long weekend, we will be having our first class at 2:15 in room 132. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Johnson

Thursday, October 8/26

The Junior Girls Basketball team travelled to STA yesterday for a regular league game. The girls faced a tough battle against a strong rival and ultimately did not get the outcome they were hoping for. Despite the loss, it was a great learning opportunity for the team, and there were still many things to be proud of on the court.The X-Factor of the game goes to Kaeli Favereau for her outstanding hustle, tough defense, and continued improvement at the free-throw line, where she shot an impressive 75%! Great job, Kaeli!

The Junior cheer squad is reminded of their practice today at 11:25 in the intermediate gym.

Reminder that there is extra math help today in the LIFT room, as well as every Tuesday and Thursday from now on.

Attention all high school boys interested in playing basketball this year. You final “get the rust off” scrimmage session is happening tomorrow after school until 4:00. The first tryout will take place on Friday, October 23 after school.


Students interested in helping out with Remembrance Day – meet in the fish bowl at lunch every Friday! That’s a Remembrance Day Committee meeting in the fish bowl on Fridays!

Wednesday, October 07, 2026 Morning Announcements

High school boys in grades 9-12 interested in playing basketball this year are invited to a scrimmage session after school on Friday until 4:00. This is the final “get the rust off” session before tryouts take place on Friday October 23 and potentially Friday October 30. Please see Mrs. MacKinnon if you have any questions.

A reminder to the Cheer Squad that your practice today after school is cancelled.

Students' cards available to be picked up at LUNCH time only. If you got your pictures taken in September, you will have a card. They will only be available until October 16th.

Attention students who ordered school clothing. Please be patient. The orders will be ready by the end of the month hopefully. Orders were just organized and sent out yesterday. As soon as they arrive, there will be an announcement and there will be a pick up place and time when it is all here.

Pride Alliance will be meeting today at lunch in room 213. We will be sharing a safe space 2SLGBTQ+ students and allies as well as planning some learning opportunities and activism - all grades are welcome. See Ms. Johnson or Ms. Elmo if you have any questions.

Morning Announcements Tuesday, October 06, 2026

Eco Club will be meeting today at lunch for a very exciting project! We will meet at the pollinator garden at the start of lunch to prepare the beds for winter – see you there.

Attention all secondary students, there will be no open gym today at lunch. Secondary PE staff apologize for the inconvenience. Open gym will resume later this week. Again, no open gym today at lunch.

SENIOR Band is rehearsing at lunch today. All musicians participating in Senior Band are asked to meet in the band room at 11:15 prepared to play music!

Bishop’s university will be here for a presentation for grade 12 students during repeat today. If you are interested in attending, please see your teacher for attendance first.

Today we celebrate World Teachers' Day, a day to recognize and thank the incredible teachers who make a difference in our lives every day. Through their dedication, patience, and commitment, teachers inspire us to learn, grow, and achieve our goals.

Please take a moment today to thank a teacher for the support, encouragement, and knowledge they provide. A simple "thank you" can go a long way in showing our appreciation.

The fall season is in full swing after a great first week back we are heading into a very busy second week with boys volleyball starting up and Connor Lepage heads to EOSSAA for golf after his second place finish at the PRSSAA Championship this past week.
