As we approach September 30, our school community will be recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day tomorrow (Tuesday, September 29).

This important day honours the thousands of survivors of the residential school system, their families, and their communities, and remembers the children who never made it home. It is a time for reflection, learning, and an ongoing commitment to understanding Canada’s history.

September 30th is also known as Orange Shirt Day, inspired by Phyllis Webstad's story when her shiny new orange shirt was taken away on her first day at a residential school.

Wearing an orange shirt is a visible symbol of our commitment to the truth that Every Child Matters, and that every child deserves to be respected, valued, and safe.

Congrats to the JV Volleyball Boys on the Consolation Champions finish in Niverville this past weekend. Way to go guys!

Our Labyrinth Garden got a clean up from Mr Baskerville & Ms Sandstrom’s Grade-6 classes, and it’s also getting a little addition as a garden shed is being built to store their tools and supplies!

The garden shed isn’t complete yet so we’re asking everyone to stay clear of it until it’s completed then we can load it up with our gardening tools and supplies. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation. Thank you!!
