A big thank you to everyone who attended the Roundup today! Thanks to Robb Stinson for providing Van Houtte coffee and the SCC for BBQing. Another great event hosted by the SRC this year!

The Rouleau Roundup is on! Come on over for the tradeshow, balloon airtist, facepainter, dunk tank, carnival games, and bbq. Close to 30 vendors setup and SRC President Madelyn Brown, Mayor Aaron Brown and Mr. Volman and Mr. Singleton ready to heckle your aim on the dunk tank!!

Stop by the school between 11-3 today and grab some lunch, check out the trade show vendors, and try out some carnival games!

Ryder was born to the proud parents of Whitney and Jonathan. From day one we knew we had our hands full with his wild heart. Ryder started school here in grade 3 where he made plenty of friends right away. He enjoyed playing volleyball with his peers. Ever since a young age Ryder has been an avid outdoors man where he has shot 2 record book black bears and multiple deer. Ryder also enjoys fishing where he has mastered filleting fish. In his spare time you will find Ryder cruising in his truck , heading to work in Avonlea, or heading to the lake to fish. Ryder is always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who asks. Ryder will be working as a farm hand after school.
Keep dreaming, keep daring, and never stop believing in yourself. The world is lucky to have your light in it.

Hailey was born to Amanda & Chad. She is the younger sister to Kiera and Austin and older sister to Bree.

Until Bree’s arrival, Hailey was the baby of the 3 and therefore got pretty much whatever she wanted with those baby blue eyes. Once she became Bree’s big sister, we noticed she took on the role of middle child often being left to do her own thing. This has led her to become the independent, level headed young lady she is today.

She loves animals so much she contemplated becoming a vet at one time. She was lucky enough to be given her very own cat, Jersey, at the age of 3 for her birthday (Thanks Linda!) and has had the pleasure of growing up with him…..she can’t remember a time in her life where he hasn’t been there.

Hailey has been very active over the years with sports……dancing, softball/baseball and eventually found her love for volleyball. She has been fortunate to play with the same group of girls since Grade 6 which ended with them taking home a Provincial Gold Medal this past November. In Gr 10 she found out there would no longer be club volleyball in Rouleau and instantly said I need to go try out for another team. She stepped out of her comfort zone and tried out in Moose Jaw and made TCVC that year. She since moved over to Golden Ticket and has spent the last 2 seasons with them.

From the time Hailey was 4, she has gained a reputation for injuries starting out Kindergarten with a fractured collarbone and most recently her wrist injury at Volleyball Nationals……it’s become kind of a running joke. But I think this just proves that she never gives up and pushes herself as far as she can and is willing to sacrifice her body to get the job done.

This drive will do her well when she attends the U of R in the fall to pursue Psychology. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what the future holds!! Hopefully less hospital visits 😉

Carter was the baby of the family for a handful of years, where he was doted on by his big sisters, Alexa & Nelliah and pestered by his brother Jackson. Once Aijha came along, Carter turned into the big brother, and had no problem with allowing her to follow him and copy everything he was doing. Being in a large family you never really got your own space and it was quickly learnt that the box of granola bars only lasted one snack. Carter worked very hard in elementary school to learn his sight words and it seemed like as soon as he had those mastered nothing stood in his way academically.

Carter has always been laid back, cool as a cucumber, and never really let stress bother him. One time he got subbed into the possibly last point of the volleyball game to get up there and serve like it was the first point of the game, allowing us to continue on. He has always been willing to help his mom around the house, his dad in the shop or his grandma with whatever she needs done.

Carter has got to enjoy his own space these last couple years being the second last one to graduate but he is looking forward to venturing out on his own. He will be attending Saskpolytechnic in the fall taking their Innovative Manufacturing course which will lead him into his goal of welding. Carter we are so proud of you and know this next chapter will be a breeze for you!
