We focus on the goals and faucets of our NB Curriculum Framework to assist with the transition to Kindergarten. Vision:
Ensuring children and families receive the highest quality care in a safe environment. Our team will build trusting relationships and partnerships with children and families while infusing positive energy into the learning community. A rich play-based space offers plenty of opportunity for literacy while allowing children to learn through discovery. It is a place for children to be curious, and creative, and experience joy and laughter. We teach life skills such as communication, decision making, problem-solving, self-awareness, self-control, and respect for one another. Our mission is to prepare them for success as they grow! Our goals are to use strength-based coaching techniques as we understand that every day is an opportunity to discover, learn, and embrace change. We take pride in valuing relationships, families, cultures, and the environment. ‘We welcome each child and family with curiosity about the strengths and gifts they can bring to our program’ (NBCF Our Youngest Children,2011, p.12). We demonstrate an ALL-inclusive space by providing personalized individual cubbies, a variety of literature and materials that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a welcome sign written in multiple languages.
