Rosthern Library

We, the staff at Rosthern Library, are saddened to hear of the death of an amazing librarian, Maureen. Her efforts made Waldheim Library a centre of activity for the community. The library catered to every age level and interest group. She made reading and books integral to the lives of many. She will surely be missed.

There’s a new Story Walk in downtown Rosthern!
Go for a walk on Main Street and read a story on the way. The story, “Summer Color”, begins at the library front door and proceeds to storefronts along the street. When you’ve completed the Walk, come on in to the library for an activity sheet.

Calling all children who enjoy Science activities.
The Saskatchewan Science Centre’s outreach program Go Science is coming to Rosthern on Friday, August 21 from 9am-12pm at the Multipurpose Centre.
The program, titled Dive In!, is filled with water-based activities school-age children will surely enjoy.
Thanks to the Town of Rosthern for sponsoring this fun-filled event.

Please note that the Creative Writing Workshop for children will take place Friday, July 10 from 10:00-12:30 at the Community Multipurpose Centre. An incorrect start time was noted in previous posts.

Your child will have a chance to be creative with an exciting workshop on Friday, July 10. The library is sponsoring a creative writing workshop led by nationally-acclaimed poet, musician, and novelist Barbara Nickel.
The workshop is designed for children 6-12 years old. It runs from 9:30-12:30 at the Community Multipurpose Centre in Rosthern. Come at noon to hear the children share their writing.

Rosthern Library has park passes that can be used at any Regional Park in Saskatchewan. Come on in and sign out a card for your next trip.

Enjoy a Saskatchewan Regional Park this summer! Use your library card to sign out a seven-day pass to any Regional park in our province starting May 15. We have several available at Rosthern Library.

We have a new art display at Rosthern Library.
Come and check out Mary Loewen’s fanciful paintings of her grandchildren. Each painting clearly shows the interests and personalities of the child. Mary’s artwork will be displayed until the end of June.
