Entrance awards are available to students who are coming to YukonU for the very first time in the Fall semester as a full-time student.

Awards can be based on academic or personal achievement, financial need, or additional specialized criteria.

Prepare yourself for work in a vibrant and growing environmental sector with our Environmental Monitoring Certificate.

It prepares First Nations students for entry-level employment in the Environmental Monitoring field.

The Environmental Monitoring certificate program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the biophysical environment, introduces First Nation traditional knowledge, and teaches technical skills such as environmental sampling techniques and navigation and data collection with GPS.

YukonU Youth Moving Mountains's Summer Camp 2025 is wrapping up.

In Ross River, the kids embraced curiosity, creativity, and teamwork in every activity.

From the very first moment, the air was buzzing with excitement. They programmed Sphero Indi robots, let their imaginations soar with 3D pen creations, and added their artistic flair while decorating planting pots.

Our young engineers rose to the challenge, designing and building water filters, testing their bridge building skills, and diving into the “why” behind fun science experiments.

In between all the action, there were quiet, reflective moments, too, like tracing leaves and seeing nature through a whole new lens.

A heartfelt thank you to the Margaret Thomson Centre for their warmth and generosity, making sure our campers stayed energized with delicious lunches and snacks every day.

The Assembly of First Nations is hosting—for the first time in the Yukon—an Indigenous Post-Secondary Graduation Ceremony on May 23rd at 11 a.m.

This special gathering is an opportunity to honour your journey, recognize your success, and share this milestone with your fellow graduates.

Creativity has the power to heal, connect, and uplift—especially during the long winter months.

That’s why, at Yukon University's Dena Cho Ke’endi, Ross River Campus, we’re focusing on the art of well-being this year!

We’re thrilled to be part of EleV’s Taking Flight Together Community Art Project, where we’re creating beaded butterflies for a collaborative multimedia art piece.

Plus, we hosted a tufting workshop with Caribou Woman Creations on March 17-18 and will offer weekly drop-in sessions in April to complete this beautiful project.

We’ve also launched the Wellness for Ross River Art Projects, featuring eight art workshops led by talented local instructors!

These workshops—free for Ross River community members—are designed to encourage creative expression, cultural learning, and emotional well-being.

We’ve already wrapped up Painting and Salve Making and have more amazing workshops coming up, including Fur Hats, Copper Jewelry, Parka Making, and more!

A huge thank you to the Yukon Government’s Community Development Fund for supporting this initiative.

We can’t wait to see the creative spirit of Ross River shine! 💜
