What a special day as Rawdon Mayor Raymond Rougeau, Florence Delorme, Director General, Commissioner Bob Pellerin, staff, students, and members of the community came together to celebrate the inauguration of the Cour de Rêve!

This schoolyard project is a wonderful example of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared vision for its children.

A heartfelt thank you to the Government of Quebec, the Municipality of Rawdon, Rawdon Elementary staff and PPO, and all the community members who helped make this dream a reality.
Today, we celebrate more than a beautiful new schoolyard. We celebrate community, collaboration, and a space where our students can learn, play, imagine, and create lasting memories.

Now that's inspiration!

Jordan Meredith, a Grade 5 teacher at Laurentia Elementary School, is taking his support for the Terry Fox Foundation to an incredible level today by running 100 km.

Jordan started his run at 4 a.m. this morning and is still going, one kilometre at a time, in support of a cause that means so much to Canadians.

Way to go, Jordan! The SWLSB community is cheering you on!

Today, Mountainview joined forces with Lake of Two Mountains High School and St. Jude Elementary for a meaningful moment of unity. Together, our students gathered to form a peace symbol, demonstrating our shared commitment to the ongoing efforts of Truth and Reconciliation.

As schools in Deux-Montagnes, we recognize that we learn, grow, and come together on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) Nation.

Through education, reflection, and actions like these, we continue to encourage our students to learn from the past and contribute to a future rooted in respect, understanding, and peace. 🧡

Today, students and staff from Rosemere High School, alongside our Chairperson, James Di Sano, our Director General, Florence Delorme, and our interim Assistant Director General, Anna Sollazzo came together to raise the flag in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This meaningful gesture honours the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities, and the ongoing journey toward truth, understanding, and reconciliation.

By coming together as a school community, we recognize the importance of listening, learning, remembering, and taking meaningful steps toward reconciliation. 🧡

We remember. We honour. We learn. We move forward together.

Wear orange on September 30 for Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

It remembers the children who were taken from their families and sent to residential schools, honours Survivors and those who never returned home, and recognizes the lasting effects on Indigenous communities.

Wearing orange is our way of saying: we remember, we listen, and every child matters.
