🎉🔥🔥EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT🔥🔥 🎉

As some of you may already know, we have opened up a firewood yard right in town! Making it easier than ever to get your firewood for camping, backyard fires, your winter season stock or anything in between.

We stock spruce/pine mix, tamarack and birch year round and have all species available in bags or in bulk.

Hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am-4:00pm
Debit and credit card payment options available right on-site or exact cash payment options as well.

Our address is 4201 45 ave -can also find us on google.
Swing by and chat with one of our 4J guys and get your firewood today!

The fire advisory that was in place for the non-Forest Protection Area (FPA) of Clearwater County (including the Summer Village of Burnstick Lake) has been lifted.

Please note that there may still be fire advisories or bans in neighbouring municipalities.

Please be advised that a Fire Advisory is now in effect for the non-Forest Protection Area (FPA) of Clearwater County and most of the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area.

Under this advisory:
• Existing fire permits are valid, but extension requests may not be granted.
• New fire permits will be issued on a case-by-case basis, for essential burning only.
• Burn notifications are required for all controlled burns in Clearwater County (both inside and outside of the Forest Protection Area).
• Campfires in approved fire pits and on private land are allowed and must be fully extinguished after use.

A small portion of southern Clearwater County is within the Calgary Forest Area and is currently under a Fire Restriction.

The 4J crew hard at work helping these great people that suffered major damage at their property get things cleaned up today.
There’s still lots of work to be done but, things are coming along thanks to so many amazing people willing to lend a helping hand!

Here we go again….
HIRING FULL TIME FIREWOOD BAGGERS

We are hiring MORE FULL TIME baggers for the summer season. Please read full description.

-shifts are Monday-Friday and alternating Saturdays 8:00am-4:30pm (we start earlier on very hot days to beat the heat)
-starting wage is $17/hr
- must be ok with working outdoors, in the elements (heat,cold, rain), lifting and bending repeatedly
- firewood lot located in town of Rocky, no travel required
- tasks include bagging firewood for orders, stacking and wrapping bags for orders, strapping down loads for transport
- very physically demanding work
- must be ok working around machinery and moving parts
- must be reliable, show up for shifts and be willing to work
- immediate start
- serious applicants only need apply
- paydays are semi-monthly via etransfer (this is not an under the table/cash job scenario).

A Fire Advisory is in effect for the Town of Rocky Mountain House.

Dry and warm conditions create risk for wildfires to spread. Please do your part and be careful with any activities you might undertake.

✅ 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱:
▪ Safe wood campfires on private land (in backyard fire pits or in designated campgrounds)
▪ Wood burning appliances (barbecues, smokers, stoves)
▪ Charcoal and wood burning appliances without an on/off switch (must be CSA approved or UL certified)
▪ Propane, natural gas, and electric appliances (barbecue/smoker/propane fire pits)

If you have been burning, please revisit burn locations. Ensure they are extinguished and cold to the touch. Fine fuels like grasses are dry and can easily ignite from piles that are still smoldering.

𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘: If conditions are favourable, CRFRS has notified the Town that hazard reduction burning on the east side of Rocky Mountain House may still take place tomorrow (April 30). This would be permitted under a Fire Advisory.
