What an incredible year it has been at GBSA! 💛

As we wrapped up the school year with our End-of-Year Assembly, we celebrated the many accomplishments of our students and recognized this year’s award recipients. Congratulations to all of our winners-you should be very proud!

This year was filled with learning, laughter and so many wonderful memories that will stay with us for years to come. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our students for their hard work, kindness and perseverance throughout the year.

Thank you to our dedicated staff, supportive families and amazing school community for making this such a special year. 👏

Please be advised that students will be dismissed tomorrow at 12:25 p.m. after completing the required four hours of instructional time.

We have a fun final day planned! Students will begin the morning with a hot breakfast served at school—because it is difficult to celebrate the end of the year on an empty stomach! Following breakfast, classes will enjoy homeroom activities, share some laughs, and possibly begin counting down the minutes until summer vacation officially begins.

Our Closing Assembly will start at approximately 11:00 a.m. During the assembly, students will be recognized with various awards and certificates celebrating their accomplishments throughout the year. Families are warmly encouraged to attend and help us celebrate our students' successes.

As we wrap up another successful school year, we expect a little bit of everything: smiles, laughter, excitement, a few emotional goodbyes, and perhaps one last "Do we have to do any work today?" before the final bell rings.

Thank you for your continued support throughout the year. It has been a wonderful journey, and we are proud of all our students have accomplished.

At 12:25 p.m., we will officially hand them back to you for the summer. Good luck, enjoy every minute, and remember... Tag, you're it! ☀️😄

Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 23rd, is Sports Day! We have lots of fun activities and stations planned for our students, and we're looking forward to a great day of friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of laughs.

The fun will take place near the municipal building beginning mid morning. With sunny weather in the forecast (fingers crossed!), it may be a good idea to send your child with sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle to help them stay comfortable throughout the day.

As an extra treat, we'll be firing up the barbecue and serving hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. After all that running, jumping, and cheering, we suspect there may be a few very hungry athletes!

Just a reminder that there is a scheduled power outage tomorrow. As a result, school will close early at approximately 1:30 p.m. (note the time)

Here's hoping for sunshine, smiles, and maybe a few future Olympians in the making!

🎨 Dorset Collegiate is excited to welcome families and community members to our Student Art Showcase featuring incredible artwork and classroom projects created by students from Dorset Collegiate, Green Bay South Academy, and Brian Peckford Primary.

All proceeds from the event will support the creation of a new outdoor classroom at our new school.

Come celebrate the artistic talents of our students and enjoy:

🎨 Experiential art stations where you can try your hand at a variety of artistic skills
🔨 A mini art auction, giving you the opportunity to take home a unique student-created masterpiece

We have been working toward this event all year, and we are thrilled to bring our schools together to showcase the creativity, passion, and talent of our students.

We hope to see families, friends, and members of our school community there as we celebrate art, learning, and collaboration together!

Our students had a fantastic time on their year-end trip! The day was filled with fun and learning as students enjoyed swimming and participated in engaging school programs at the Demasduit Regional Museum.
