These reads rewired my brain and I’m grateful for it.

Here are 5 that really shaped my pedagogy:

• Creative Schools by Ken Robinson
This book basically confirmed my lifelong suspicion that school shouldn’t feel like an assembly line. Creativity is not a “nice bonus”. It’s at the core of growing and learning.

• Wild Learning by Rachel Tidd (currently reading)
So far this book feels like a gentle reminder chill out, go outside, and trust that kids don’t need to be micromanaged into learning. Nature & curiosity is enough. I am absolutely loving it!!

• How to Talk So Kids Will Listen (and Listen So Kids Will Talk) A classic for a reason. Its not just great for parenting, it’s honestly useful for anyone who wants to interact with children like they’re real people with real thoughts and feelings. Lol go figure

• I Wish My Teacher Knew - This one stays with you. It’s a beautiful and much needed reminder that every child is carrying a story you probably don’t know and that small moments of care actually matter more than we think.

• Educated by Tara Westover
Had to read this in university and it was a total game changer. It cracked open big questions for me about access to education, power, identity, and what learning can cost and give a person.

None of these made me a perfect teacher but they did make me more thoughtful, more curious, and way more intentional with kids. ♥️

If you’ve read any of these, or have a book that changed how you see children or learning, please comment bellow! I’m always adding to the pile 📚

Earth Day is the best day 🌎🌱

Okay I’m a little late but I absolutely LOVE Earth Day!! It’s such a fun way to bring reading to life… holidays and seasons just makes every day reading feel magical 💚

Earth Day books are honestly so beautiful, and it’s one of those moments where you’re not just practicing literacy… you’re also sneaking in science without it feeling like work 👀

If you’re a bilingual household, I highly recommend having books in both languages. It makes themes hit so much deeper and helps everything click in a more natural way 📚

My favourite Easter books are officially out 🌷🐣📚

One thing I’m really intentional about as an educator (and tutor!) is keeping a mix of French and English books for every occasion.

Why? Because bilingual brains don’t grow by accident. They grow through consistent, meaningful exposure in both languages! 💛

I love using seasonal books because they:
• keep learners engaged
• build vocabulary naturally
• create positive associations with reading
• and make language learning feek less like learning

Plus, Easter & Spring books are just adorable!! 🐰🌼

If you’re raising or supporting bilingual learners don’t underestimate the power of simple seasonal reads in both languages. Little moments like these add up in a big way. Bilingual brains in progress 💛📖

Happy Easter everyone! 🐰💗

This book was a gift from a student at the end of the school year, and I still get emotional every time I see it. 💛 May You Love and Be Loved by Cleo Wade is such a gentle, beautiful reminder of what love really is… kindness, care, and showing up for others. A perfect Valentine’s Day read for teaching kids the value of love, in all its forms. Happy Valentine’s Day 💘

Grammar, but make it a game 🎲
Sentence building, lots of laughs, and proof that learning can be fun.

Also, thank you SO much for all the inquiries. It genuinely warms my heart. My sessions are currently full, but I’ll absolutely post when more spots open up! 🤍
