❄️ A little winter magic ahead ❄️

On Monday, our Infant and Junior Toddler friends will be heading out for a special sleigh ride experience with ~ Country Sleigh Rides ~ in the Irishtown area! This gentle winter outing gives the children a chance to take in the sights, sounds, and movement of the season.

The forecast as of right now is that it will be -5 / -12 and snowing. Be sure to bundle those babies and bring extra cozy clothes encase we get a little wet playing and exploring the petting zoo!

Over the past few weeks, our classrooms have been busy exploring the season through hands-on crafts and creative invitations.

It’s been a busy few weeks at Reaching for Rainbows, and we are stepping into this new month with full hearts and excited minds. Our classrooms have been buzzing with curiosity, play, and winter-themed explorations. ✨

This experience will include our:
- Infants
- Jr. & Sr. Toddlers
- Sr. Preschoolers

Good Morning!
Unfortunately, due to the weather, the fire department will be unable to bring a truck to visit today!

❄️🌬️ Outdoor Play Requirements at Reaching for Rainbows 🌬️❄️

As part of our provincial licensing requirements, all children participate in daily outdoor play throughout the year.

✔️ School Age Program: 30-60 minutes outdoors
✔️ All Other Age Groups: 1 hour outdoors for every 4 hours of care (2 hours daily)

As the colder weather arrives, please ensure children come with proper outdoor clothing each day so they can safely enjoy their required outdoor time:

🧣🧤 Mittens & scarves
🧥 Warm jacket
🧢 Hat / toque
🥾 Warm boots
🧦 Extra socks
❄️ Snow pants (as needed)

Outdoor play only pauses during extreme weather conditions such as severe windchill, freezing rain, ice conditions, or temperatures at or below –20°C.
