I am always proud of Emily but this is above and beyond anything I have ever imagined!

Just so you all know, I did not initiate her nomination!

I always said that I would give her the best life I could and wished that she would find her place in the world and contribute to society in which ever way would make her feel fulfilled!

“YMCA Peace Week is a time when we celebrate the presence of peace in our communities, and reflect on the peace-building work that happens all year both inside and outside the YMCA.”

“The YMCA believes peace is more than the absence of violence and conflict. Peace is the ongoing work of building and rebuilding conditions of fairness, inclusion, empathy, security, and respect for diversity. When Canadians embody the values of PEACE through our daily actions, we can build a better Canada.”

The YMCA 2019 Peace Medals will be presented to:

Hali Douthwright of Moncton
Robert Stewart of Shediac
Emily Tozer of Riverview

Official ceremony is scheduled for December 5th at lunch time. Tickets are available online. Use the link below if you want one or more.

I knew it, I devoured this book!

I smiled, laughed, teared up and felt so inspired by Michael’s story.

Some of his words, reminded me so much of Emily and her journey through life and the many challenges she faced and still faces daily.

I highly recommend this book to everybody and wish the school would have this on their mandatory reading list!

Now, to get Emily to read it!
