Get ready to kick off your summer in style with the 2025 Robson Square Summer Dance Series! Starting June 27th, running every Friday through to August 29, this beloved Vancouver tradition returns for another season of fun, fitness, and fantastic dancing, and you won’t want to miss it. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have never stepped foot on a dance floor, this event is designed for everyone.

Every Friday night at 7:00 pm, the evening begins with a free beginner-friendly dance lesson. No partner? No problem! No experience? That’s perfectly fine! This is all about having a blast while learning something new and staying active. After the lesson, the floor opens up for a lively social dance session until 10:30 pm, where you can show off what you’ve learned or just enjoy the rhythm of the night.

The excitement doesn’t stop there! At 8:00 pm, you’ll be treated to performances from local dance professionals and talented students from nearby studios. It’s a true celebration of dance, with participants of all ages and skill levels coming together in a spirit of community and fun.

For over 40 years, Robson Square has been the heart of Friday night ballroom dancing, drawing in hundreds of attendees each week. It’s the perfect chance to get active, meet new people, and experience Vancouver’s vibrant arts scene. And don’t worry about the weather — the event goes on rain or shine, thanks to the iconic domes that shelter the dance floor.

Whether you’re here with friends, on a date, or just looking for a way to spend a joyful evening, the Robson Square Summer Dance Series offers the perfect mix of movement, music, and merriment. Come dance, laugh, and enjoy the magic of summer under the stars!

Volunteering
Volunteering at Robson Square is fun and flexible. There are a variety of positions, from concession sales, to setup and take down, as well as Donation Collectors, aka ‘Bunnies’! Volunteers will be provided with snacks and a lite dinner. There are many large costs to run the event, so support from volunteers is crucial to an amazing summer.
