The Wilson School of Design invites high school students in Grades 10 to 12 to explore how design can create positive change for both people and the environment. Top entries will be recognized for excellence in innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability, with KPU tuition waiver prizes awarded to first, second and third place winners.

This Fall, we begin an exciting new chapter at the Wilson School of Design with our new interim leadership team. We are delighted to welcome Carley Hodgkinson as Dean pro tem and Jimmy Choi as Associate Dean pro tem. With deep roots in our WSD community and a shared commitment to student success, they bring valuable experience and leadership to these roles. We are excited for the future and grateful to have them guiding us forward!

Last week, we gathered to celebrate Dean Andhra Goundrey’s last day at the Wilson School of Design and honoured her 25 years of service to the KPU community.

Her leadership, vision, and commitment to student success have left a lasting mark on our school, expanding opportunities for students and research, championing equity, diversity, inclusion initiatives, and elevating the school's profile both nationally and internationally.

Thank you for everything you have given to KPU and the Wilson School of Design, Andhra. We wish you a fulfilling and joyful retirement!

We'd like to congratulate two of our recent graduates, Destiny Lang and Alexandra Mercier, on their outstanding achievements.

Destiny Lang, a graduate of the Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Technology program, was awarded the Lieutenant Governor's Medal for Inclusion, Democracy and Reconciliation. On behalf of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, this medal recognizes a graduate who has made outstanding contributions to inclusion, democracy, and/or reconciliation on campus or within their community.

Alexandra Mercier received the Dean's Medal from the Wilson School of Design. She graduated from the Fashion Marketing Diploma program with a record of outstanding academic achievement and meaningful community engagement.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate these graduates! 🎉

This is Wilson: Fashion student’s capstone project awarded for sustainable design.

Naiomi Chin received the TÉLIO Impact Award for her capstone project, Citizen Collective — a durable, modular and versatile wardrobe for fashion-forward corporate professionals.

“Receiving this award feels full circle. I originally went into fashion school because I was passionate about sustainability and solving problems,” she says. “I feel like this project was not only an opportunity for me to highlight those hard skills, but also the values that made me want to go into fashion school in the first place.”

This is Wilson: KPU Wilson School of Design Ranks Top 3 in Canada Thanks to Graphic Design Student Work

The KPU Wilson School of Design ranked 3rd in Canada according to the 2026 list of Top 10 Design Schools released by The Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD), Canada’s largest professional association for graphic designers.

The ranking was determined by the work of Graphic Design for Marketing students who participated in the 2025 RGD Student Awards, the nation’s largest professional design competition.

Wilson School of Design had 2 Winners and 11 Honourable Mentions from 10 students who submitted 33 entries.
