Peace is not the absence of strength.
Good people must know violence, so that people who mean harm do not become the only ones fluent in it.

Modern life confuses two different things.
Harmlessness is not nobility.

Weakness is not goodness.

A person who cannot resist, confront, or use force is not peaceful. They are unequipped.

The Imperturbable never made that mistake.
Marcus Aurelius ruled armies.
Epictetus taught self-command without apology.
Capable of force. Disciplined enough not to spend it on emotion.

Capacity without command is chaos.
Command without capacity is a speech.

Uncontrolled aggression destroys through chaos.
Weakness dressed up as morality destroys through helplessness.

Many people call themselves peaceful when they have never built the strength to protect anything that matters.

Not themselves.
Not their family.
Not their principles.
Not even their own mind.

Peace that cannot be defended is only a mood.
It lasts until someone stronger decides otherwise.
Train so you can protect what is yours.
Discipline the strength so it does not become the thing you were training against.

That is the work.

Be Quiet

We have a saying in the Alpha Scrap Martial Arts Network

"From out of the shadows...back into the shadows..."

"Suddenly" BAM

Now the internet is full of street fights or barroom brawls where the fight starts off with two meatheads screaming at each other.

Ever had a shadow scream at you? Not very stealthy...

Remaining Incognito can serve to preserve your element of surprise, or even keep you out of harms way entirely.

Perhaps the best way to win is to not find yourself there in the first place?

Yet many an Ego says "No one talks to me that way - Who does this guy think he is? Does he know who I am?"

And then whatever happens...happens.

Silence is your protector, for if you quiet your voice you can be more observant to the world around you,

sensing, seeing and hearing potential danger.

But if your lips are always flapping, its a lot harder to hear what you need to hear, and you are signaling your position

Be the surprise, be the shadow, never let them see or hear you coming...

Train accordingly.

Do you wait for practice to start, or do you prepare for practice to start?

Those are the only 2 options for players, you lead level players don't wait for anything to start elite level players prepare for everything to start that would be my next question, do you have a pre practice preparation?

Then the question after that is how similar is that to your pregame routine, if you only take games seriously, but you don't take practice seriously, then you won't be the player that you're capable of and you certainly won't be the team that you're capable of so preparation during the unseen hours, is the number one, separator for players and for teams.
