🌺 Rothewood Fun Day – Hawaiian Day! 🌴
On July 31, Rothewood Academy celebrated a fun and colourful Hawaiian Day! Children from different classrooms dressed up in their best tropical outfits, with flower leis, bright shirts, and beautiful Hawaiian-themed accessories.

Everyone had a wonderful time dancing together and showing off their best hula dance moves! It was so much fun seeing the children smiling, laughing, and enjoying the celebration with their friends and teachers.

A big thank-you to all the families who joined us for our Family Fun Day on Saturday, July 18! It was wonderful seeing our children, parents, and teachers spending time together and enjoying such a fun-filled day.

The children had a blast jumping in the bouncy castle, watching the amazing balloon twisting, and trying out all the mini carnival games. Of course, one of the highlights was the delicious food prepared with love by our wonderful teachers! 🍴❤️

Thank you again to all our parents and families for coming and making the day so special. We truly appreciate your continued support and hope you created many happy memories with us.

✨ Fashion, Football, and a Day Full of Fun! ✨

Our JK2B children had their very own fashion show. Each child had a chance to walk, pose, and show off their own unique style. We loved seeing their confidence, creativity, and all the different poses they came up with. Everyone had so much fun cheering for their friends! 👗👕📸

Our JK2A children also joined in the FIFA World Cup excitement with a colourful parade. The children were divided into four colour groups, with each colour representing a different country. They proudly marched together and had lots of fun celebrating teamwork, culture, and the spirit of the World Cup. ⚽🌎

It was such a happy day filled with smiles, laughter, and excitement. We are so proud of all our JK2A and JK2B children for joining in, supporting one another, and showing their wonderful personalities.

Our JK1A explorers have been blasting off into an exciting space adventure!🚀🌙 This week, they discovered different planets, climbed into a UFO spaceship, and imagined traveling through the sparkling stars. With the lights dimmed, our little astronauts explored the darkness, reached for the moon, and filled the classroom with wonder, laughter, and curiosity. They loved pretending to fly through space, meeting planets along the way, and sharing their excitement with friends. What a fun journey through outer space! ✨🪐

Our Rothewood Fun Day theme for June was Ahoy! Pirate Day, and what a wonderful adventure it was! The children came to school dressed in their adorable pirate costumes, ready for a day full of imagination, laughter, and fun.

It was so heartwarming to see their excitement as they explored, played, and pretended to sail the seas with their friends. Days like this help create special memories, encourage creativity, and bring so much joy to our classrooms.

Last Friday, Rothewood Academy - Richmond celebrated Father’s Day with our wonderful families! 💙
It was a beautiful time filled with love, laughter, smiles, and special memories. Our children were so excited to celebrate the amazing fathers in their lives through meaningful activities and sweet moments together.

💐 A Special Milestone for Our Principal, Sandy 💐

As many of you may know, our Principal, Sandy, will be starting her maternity leave as she prepares to welcome a new little one into her family. ❤️

This moment is especially meaningful because it also marks an incredible milestone—Sandy has dedicated the past 10 years to Rothewood Academy. Over the last decade, she has poured her heart into building a nurturing, supportive, and inspiring environment for children, families, and educators. From celebrating first steps and first words to graduation ceremonies and countless everyday moments, Sandy has been a part of the journey of so many children and families in our community.

Her commitment, leadership, and genuine care have helped shape Rothewood Academy RCC into the special place it is today. We are deeply grateful for everything she has contributed over the years and for the positive impact she has made on generations of children.

While we will certainly miss seeing Sandy every day, we are so excited for her as she begins this new chapter of motherhood. Please join us in wishing her a wonderful maternity leave filled with joy, precious memories, and lots of baby cuddles!

Outdoor play is about so much more than playgrounds, bikes, and sandboxes! 🌿

Every time children step outside, they are presented with endless opportunities to learn and explore. They watch plants grow, water flowers, search for worms and insects, listen to birds singing, feel the breeze on their faces, and observe how nature changes from day to day.

Children become curious investigators as they examine leaves, collect sticks and rocks, discover puddles after the rain, follow shadows, and observe clouds moving across the sky. These simple experiences help develop observation skills, critical thinking, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

The outdoor environment is an extension of our classroom. Whether children are climbing, running, digging, gardening, exploring, or simply sitting quietly and observing nature, they are learning every step of the way.
