It was a joy to experience a program so rich in variety, featuring a beautiful range of instruments and exquisite chamber music. A huge round of applause to the Burnaby Harmonious Sinfonia for that amazing opening—what a way to set the tone for the evening!

A huge and heartfelt thank you to the Rotary Club of Richmond Sunset for giving our talented students the incredible opportunity to perform at the annual Winter Wonderland event yesterday at Richmond City Hall.

This was such a meaningful experience, helping our younger generation, learned the value of contributing to the community by sharing the beautiful music they have been studying. It’s truly wonderful to see their hot work and passion bring joy to everyone.

We are so proud and look forward to our next public performance!

🎉 Applications for the 13th Annual Pacific Youth Music Festival Now Open! 🎉

The Pacific International Youth Music Society is thrilled to announce that applications for the 13th Annual Pacific Youth Music Festival are now opened! Get ready to celebrate young musical talents in what promises to be an especially memorable festival.

🌟 Introduction of New Festival Components 🌟
This year, the Society is expanding its offerings to enrich the experience for all participants. We are pleased to announce two new additions:

🎼 Competitive Solo Classes (Piano & Violin): Designed for solo performers, these classes will feature single-repertoire performances adhering to the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) syllabi. While participants in these classes will not advance to the Gala Competition, they will receive formal placements (e.g., First Place and Second Place) and benefit from detailed feedback provided by a dedicated panel of adjudicators.

🎼 Chamber Class Competition: We are introducing a Chamber Class Competition, structured similarly to our Concerto Competition. This new category will select one exceptional ensemble to perform at the Gala Competition. The winning group will also be awarded a scholarship to support their ongoing musical development.

‼️ IMPORTANT UPDATE: Introduction of "Gala Challenge Classes"

Please note a key update: the classes from which Gala finalists are selected have been formally renamed "Gala Challenge Classes." The established format remains consistent, whereby up to two finalists may be selected from each Gala Challenge Class to compete for top honors in the final Gala Competition.

To facilitate your preparation, detailed syllabi for all festival categories have been provided:

We kindly request that you review these documents carefully for complete repertoire requirements and guidelines.
