🚀 Jumping into Science!🏃‍♂️💡

Our students wrapped up an exciting LEGO Education SPIKE Prime lesson on potential energy! Using squat jumps, they explored how stored energy transforms into movement. With the help of sensors and data tracking, they measured their jumps and analyzed their energy.
💭 What did we learn? Science isn't just about formulas—it’s about movement, discovery, and hands-on fun! 🔬📊

📢 Oh, my dearies, can you believe it? The little scholars at Pythagoras Academy have been in school for 100 days—and my, how they’ve grown! 🎉 They’re 100 days smarter, I tell ya! Today, they’ll be busy as bees 🐝 with all sorts of fun and learning centered around the number 100. And mark my words; there’ll be plenty of surprises along the way! 📚✨Reading Buddies at Pythagoras Academy!✨📚

This week, our Grade K-3 students teamed up for a fun and engaging reading session! Taking turns reading aloud and sharing their favourite parts of the story, they strengthened their reading fluency, boosted comprehension, and built positive peer connections within our school community. 💬🤝

🚀Robotics in Action!🤖

On January 15th, our PA students had an amazing field trip to Port Coquitlam for a friendly robotics tournament with Hope Lutheran Christian School and John Calvin Christian School. 🎉

Our Grade 4/5 students formed 7 teams and partnered with students from the other schools for mini-tournaments, including an exciting Sumo bot challenge! 🥋🤖 The collaboration, creativity, and friendly competition made it a memorable day.

Thank you to Dr. Andrew Shutsa, Middle School Vice Principal and Athletic Director at HLCS, for organizing this fantastic event and fostering such an inspiring atmosphere of learning and play! 👏

🌊 On Saturday, January 25th, the Vancouver Aquarium came alive with creativity as it hosted an exciting event for FIRST Explore teams! 🎉 Pythagoras Academy was proud to have five amazing teams—J-BOB, Lil' Froggys, Jellyfish, Sigma Seas, and World LEGO—participating in this unforgettable experience.

The teams showcased their innovative LEGO builds, inspired by the SUBMERGED theme, and engaged aquarium visitors with hands-on activities that captured the imagination of young learners. 🐠✨
