Wow!! Now that’s a Christmas market! Wish I was going! 🇭🇺

The festive Christmas market at St. Stephen's Basilica in Budapest, Hungary, known as the Advent Basilica market. This market has been recognized multiple times as the best Christmas market in Europe.

The market is set against the backdrop of the illuminated St. Stephen's Basilica. It features numerous rustic wooden stalls offering handcrafted gifts and traditional Hungarian foods like mulled wine and chimney cake. Highlights include a large Christmas tree, an ice-skating rink, and 3D light projections on the basilica's façade.

My students, Marcus and Kaydence, received the Richmond Branch BCRMTA medals for the highest RCM exam mark!

Extra special as I hosted the recital, and was the one placing the medals around their necks.

So very proud of them both.

The Student Performers’ Guild Festival is an integral part of the Vancouver/Burnaby Branch.

It's primary goal is to provide learning opportunities for students in a supportive and encouraging environment; its secondary goal is to distribute scholarships and awards to deserving young musicians. Registration is open to all students of the Vancouver/Burnaby Branch members as well as its STA members.

Did you know that Queen Elizabeth 2 played the piano?

Like a lot of children, she started piano lessons at the age of 11 while she was living in Windsor Castle.

I would imagine Her Majesty has had little time to practice though I would still have loved to be her piano teacher!

Her 70 year reign as Queen ended recently with her sudden passing! She was a light to the world and will be forever remembered and missed!
