🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation | September 30

Today, we remember the children who never returned home, the survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities forever affected.

At Renaissance Kids, we believe in fostering understanding, compassion, and respect from an early age.

🏃‍♀️☀️ Another Terry Fox Run in 2026!

Last week, our Renaissance Kids students took part in the Terry Fox Run, learning about Terry Fox’s inspiring journey and the meaning behind this iconic Canadian event.

After discovering the story of Terry Fox and his mission to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, our students headed outdoors to experience the spirit of the Terry Fox Run firsthand, enjoying the sunshine, staying active, and celebrating the power of perseverance and community. ❤️

A huge thank you to our amazing teachers for preparing this meaningful experience and helping our students learn, connect, and make memories together!

🧡 Learning, Remembering, and Honouring Orange Shirt Day

This Orange Shirt Day, our students took part in meaningful art activities, listened to stories, and explored the history and significance of this important day.

Through these activities, students learned about the experiences of Indigenous children who were forced to attend residential schools, the importance of remembering the past, and why every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and included. 🧡

Through listening, creating, and reflecting together, our students developed a deeper understanding of Orange Shirt Day and the importance of compassion, respect, and reconciliation.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

Giving back to the community we’re proud to call home. 💙

We were grateful to be part of the Carnival of Giving, supporting the Richmond Hospital Foundation and its work to strengthen healthcare for our Richmond community.

For us, being part of our community goes beyond what happens inside our classrooms. Events like Carnival of Giving give us the opportunity to support causes that make a meaningful difference, while connecting with local families, meeting new faces and coming together for a shared purpose.

We loved seeing our community show up, have fun,and give back together. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and helped make the event so special!

We’re proud to continue supporting and growing alongside the Richmond community. ❤️🎉
