🧪 SCIENCE + SLIME = THE PERFECT SUMMERCAMP! 🧪✨

What happens when you mix science, creativity and a little bit of colour? SLIME! 💚💜💙

Our "Chem for Kids" campers got hands-on with chemistry as they experimented with ingredients, tested different combinations and created their very own slime.

And guess what? You can try it at home, too! 👇

🧪 DIY SLIME RECIPE
You’ll need:
• ½ cup white school glue
• ½ tsp baking soda
• 1 tbsp contact lens solution
• Food colouring (optional)
• Glitter & Jibbitz (optional ✨)

How to make it:
1️⃣ Pour the glue into a bowl.
2️⃣ Mix in the baking soda.
3️⃣ Add a few drops of food colouring and glitter if you'd like.
4️⃣ Slowly add the contact lens solution while stirring.
5️⃣ Keep mixing and kneading until your slime reaches the perfect stretchy consistency!

🔬 The science behind the slime: The ingredients react to create a polymer — turning a liquid mixture into the stretchy, squishy material we know as slime!

Because science isn't just something you read about in a textbook. It's something you can mix, touch, test and create! 💡

What an incredible week filled with creativity, discovery, and nonstop fun! Our campers explored new recipes in the kitchen, created amazing works of art, stayed active through exciting games, and made unforgettable memories with friends.

The adventure didn‘t stop there! We also headed out on exciting field trips, giving our campers the chance to discover new places, learn through real world experiences, and make even more summer memories. 🌿🚌

🍓 Fresh Foodies: Where Healthy Eating Meets Creativity! 👩‍🍳✨

Our Fresh Foodies campers had a wonderful time learning essential kitchen skills while creating healthy and delicious treats! From rolling veggie sushi and making homemade granola to preparing colourful fruit salads and chocolate-dipped bananas, every recipe inspired creativity, confidence, and healthy eating habits.

At Renaissance Academy, we believe children learn best through hands-on experiences. Every dish was an opportunity to explore, create, and discover that nutritious food can be just as delicious as it is fun!

🏅 Mini Olympics: Where Every Child Shines! ✨

Our Renaissance Kids had an amazing time taking part in our month-long Mini Olympics, bringing together sports, dance, and art in a fun-filled journey of movement, creativity, teamwork, and friendship.

From learning new dance moves and exploring creative painting to developing balance, confidence, and sportsmanship, every challenge encouraged our little learners to step out of their comfort zones, support their friends, and celebrate their achievements.
