Congratulations to Professor Jacob Tsimerman on this extraordinary Fields Medal achievement—an inspiration to every young mind with a passion for mathematics.

There was a time when Professor Jacob Tsimerman was simply a child learning numbers.

He wasn’t holding the Fields Medal—often called the “Nobel Prize of Mathematics.” He was just another young student, developing curiosity, solving problems, making mistakes, and discovering the joy of mathematics.

Today, he has become the first scholar based at a Canadian university (UofT) to receive the Fields Medal, one of the highest honours in mathematics. 🇨🇦🏅

Will every child become a Fields Medal winner?

Of course not.

But every child deserves the chance to develop the skills that make success possible:

At the 2026 UCMAS Canadian National Math Competition, UCMAS Richmond once again demonstrated what can be achieved through consistency, dedication, and teamwork.

🌟 The only UCMAS centre in Canada to surpass 100 National Award winners for the third consecutive year.

This achievement is about far more than trophies.

It represents months of disciplined practice, committed parents, passionate instructors, and children who were willing to challenge themselves every single week.

The students also took on one of the toughest mental math challenges imaginable—answering 200 math questions in just 8 minutes —demonstrating incredible focus, speed, and accuracy under pressure.
