As part of our monthly focus on Peace, Kindness, and Inclusion, we invited the children to bring in something from home that reflects a hobby or interest they love!

This simple idea gave them a chance to share a piece of their world, learn more about one another in a meaningful way, and celebrate their differences together✨

These moments help us build a classroom where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. A place where they can be themselves and feel they truly belong🤍

How do you show someone you love them?

We asked our Saplings while exploring our August theme of Peace, Kindness & Inclusion, and got answers straight from the heart! Bringing peaches home for mama! Playing with a new friend! Sharing food!

A sweet little reminder that care often shows up in the simplest ways💕

The best part of a community is that people keep finding ways to give back✨

This week, we were delighted to welcome back Ms. Ammoya, one of our former Teachers on Call, who generously donated a copy of her children’s book and shared it with the children during a special outdoor storytime!

As the children followed the journey of a little whale searching for its mommy, they explored themes of kindness, empathy, and helping others.

But perhaps the most meaningful part of the morning wasn’t just the story itself. It was seeing a former educator return to share something she had created, a reflection of the kind of community we’re proud to build!

Every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and included.💛

Throughout August, we’ll be exploring Peace, Kindness and Inclusion as children learn to show empathy, respect differences, express their feelings, and care for one another through everyday experiences.

🌍 This month’s learning supports:

📚 SDG 4 — Quality Education
🤝 SDG 10 — Reduced Inequalities
🕊️ SDG 16 — Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

As we continue exploring Health & Well-being this month, our Saplings have been getting curious about healthy foods in all kinds of ways!🍎

They explored a variety of fruits by discovering where they grow, matching cards, naming familiar and new fruits, and drawing their favourites. Along the way, they expanded their vocabulary and got creative while learning more about the foods we eat every day.

Through hands-on exploration, this experience supported SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education.

As part of our July learning concept, Health & Wellbeing for All, children challenged themselves on our outdoor climbing rockers, practising balance, coordination, and gross motor skills while taking healthy risks in a safe and supportive environment.

With every climb and every jump, they built confidence, resilience, and trust in themselves and discovered that growth often begins just outside their comfort zone!🌱

By encouraging active movement and physical wellbeing, this experience supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being.

Every workplace has values.
What makes the difference is how they’re lived.

At Terra, culture is found in everyday moments:
the way we support one another,
the relationships we build,
the curiosity we encourage,
and the community we create together.

If this feels like your kind of community, we’d love to meet you!
