GroomingSeminar HandsOnLearning
These closed-shears ring are designed to prevent fingers from being inserted too far, making them a safe and effective option for students to practice proper technique.
Last week, our students practiced clipper skills on a fake dog 🐶✂️
We received lots of feedback—some asked, “Why not start with a real dog?”
Today, here’s the answer 👇
After building a strong foundation, our students are now working on real dogs this week.
You can see the difference—more confidence, better handling, and safer, more proper techniques 💪✨
We believe practice builds skill, and the right steps build professional groomers 🐾
Stay tuned to follow their journey!
Before working on real dogs, technique matters. ✂️🐾
At Fluffy Paws Grooming School, our students start with the basics — even something as simple as lined paper.
Why?
Because control, precision, and hand positioning are everything in grooming.
Practicing sc******ng on lines helps students develop:
• Steady hand movement
• Proper scissor control
• Clean, straight finishing skills
It may look simple… but this is where professional grooming begins.
We focus on building strong foundations so every student gains confidence before working on real pets. 🐶💛

At Fluffy Paws Grooming School, every student starts with the fundamentals — the right way.
Before working on real dogs, our students practice on model dogs to learn:
✂️ Proper clipper handling
✂️ Safe positioning
✂️ Control and technique
✂️ Confidence in every movement
This step is essential to ensure both student success and pet safety. 🐶💛
We believe great groomers aren’t rushed — they’re trained with purpose.
From practice… to perfection. ✨
