Following the success of our 25th Anniversary celebrations last summer, Starlight Chinese Opera Performing Arts Centre is delighted to return to the stage this July with another exciting Cantonese opera production at Markham Theatre.

去年夏天，寶新聲戲曲演藝中心與觀眾一同慶祝成立25週年。今年七月，我們將再次登上萬錦劇院舞台，為大家帶來精彩的粵劇演出，延續這份對傳統藝術的熱愛與傳承。

今年，寶新聲將為觀眾帶來多齣精彩折子戲選段，當中更包括改編自中國古典名著《西遊記》的經典故事《三打白骨精》🐒。

This year’s program will feature a selection of beloved Cantonese opera excerpts, including Journey to the West: Thrice Strikes Skeleton Demon 🐒 — one of the most iconic stories from the 16th-century Chinese classic Journey to the West. English subtitles will be provided.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Fairchild Television for the interview, which provided Starlight Chinese Opera Performing Arts Centre with the opportunity to share our journey of promoting Cantonese opera in Toronto.

寶新聲今年特邀四位曾合作的香港粵劇紅伶，遠赴多倫多同賀寶新聲25周年。四位專業演員分別為鄭詠梅、黃寶萱、洪海、朱兆壹，屆時將與寶新聲台前幕後、寶新聲小豆丁及其他學員一同演出。

In addition to the Classic Repertoire, the event “Little Starlets Shine with Starlight 2025” will feature nine captivating excerpts from Cantonese Opera. To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Starlets, they will reenact various performances from past years, allowing the audience to witness their development over this time. Local talented actors will also join the performance to showcase their skills. The finale will include a collaboration with four professionals performing "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea" alongside the Starlets.
