RHMS Montessori students enjoyed a fun filled day of sunshine, imagination and creativity having a Teddy Bear Picnic in their pajamas! The children brought their favourite stuffed animals to class and were excited to play games outdoors, share in a special story time and enjoy healthy snacks. They had so much fun creating their very own teddy bear hats using a variety of colourful art supplies.

It was a lovely opportunity for the students to build their social skills, enjoy pretend play and make special memories together.

RHMS Grade 8 students explored the fascinating world of Physics in STEM, developing an understanding of how forces and motion shape the world around us. Throughout the unit, students participated in a variety of experiments as they investigated Newton’s Three Laws of Motion. Using balloons as one of their classroom tools, students observed how the amount of air inside a balloon affects the force produced and, in turn, influences its acceleration. Through experimentation, observation, and problem-solving, students strengthened their understanding of Physics and its real world applications.

RHMS Grade 5 students enjoyed an exciting and educational excursion to the Toronto Zoo, where learning came to life through observation and inquiry. As they explored the zoo, students came face to face with animals from around the world, sparking a sense of wonder about wildlife and their habitats.

The students connected with nature and discovered the importance of biodiversity and conservation. The experience encouraged meaningful discussions about protecting endangered species and it inspired everyone to learn about how they can take positive action in caring for wildlife and the environment.

RHMS Grade 1 students brought their financial literacy learning to life, by creating and running their own classroom stores. Using their knowledge of Canadian currency, they designed products to sell and welcomed their classmates as customers.

This fun, hands-on experience gave students the opportunity to apply their money skills in a meaningful, real world setting while building confidence, practicing math and decision making, and enjoying the excitement of learning through play.

RHMS Montessori students travelled through an exciting unit about Canada with a variety of engaging, hands-on activities. They explored Canada’s provinces and territories through creative art projects and worked together to build a large map of the country using plasticine.

As part of the unit, the children also embraced a camping theme, learning about outdoor adventures across Canada and participated in a nature treasure hunt. Through these interactive experiences, the students deepened their appreciation and understanding of their country while having fun learning together.

RHMS Term 3 Assembly was held at the end of June to celebrate and acknowledge a year's worth of hard work and achievements by our students. Our students embraced new challenges, developed their skills, and demonstrated resilience, kindness, and a commitment to learning. Well done to all of our students on a fantastic year.

RHMS Grade 7 STEM Students put their investigative skills to the test in a forensic science challenge. Students were presented with four white powders and tasked with identifying the culprit at a mock crime scene. Using a variety of tests, they examined the physical and chemical properties of each substance, carefully collecting evidence and analyzing their results. Through observation, experimentation, and critical thinking, students experienced how real scientists use STEM to solve mysteries.
