🎶 What does a Yamaha music class look like? Sometimes, it starts with a gorilla! 🦍

At Yamaha, young children don’t just sit at the keyboard and follow instructions. They listen, move, sing, imitate, play and respond to music — building important musical skills in a way that feels natural and fun.

In this Yamaha Young Musicians Course (YMC) trial lesson, students follow their teacher’s movements along with the music, strengthening their:

🎵 sense of rhythm and beat
👂 listening and musical awareness
🧠 memory and concentration
🤝 ability to follow and respond as part of a group
🎹 foundation for future keyboard and musical development

Activities like this may look like play, but they are an important part of developing a child’s musical ear, coordination and confidence.

Yamaha Music Wonderland is designed to introduce young children to music in a way that feels natural and joyful for their age. Through singing, rhythm, movement, listening and keyboard activities, children begin developing their musical ear, sense of rhythm, coordination, concentration and confidence.

These early experiences create a strong foundation for future music learning — while helping children simply fall in love with music first. 🎹✨

At 88 Keys, music often becomes a family journey. 🎶

When children begin their musical path, parents are right there with them — attending classes, supporting practice, learning the method, and helping their children grow with confidence.

And sometimes, while helping their child thrive, parents begin reconnecting with music too.

During our in-class concerts, we encourage family members to perform in front of their child’s class, because music is taught through participation, encouragement, and shared experience.

The parent featured in this reel performed his own original composition, and while this performance comes from previous musical experience, it reminds us of something very important:

If you have ever thought, “One day I would love to learn music,” starting alongside your child may be the best beginning.

Valerie couldn’t join us at the recital this time, but that didn’t stop her from sharing her music. Instead, she prepared a beautiful at-home performance for her family and we think that deserves its own round of applause. 👏

Moments like this remind us how important parents’ support is in a child’s musical journey. When children feel encouraged, celebrated, and acknowledged at home, their confidence grows - and so does their love for music.

We are so proud of you, Valerie! Keep playing, keep learning, and keep shining. We truly believe this special performance will help you continue striving in music. 💛🎹

We are concluding this year’s journey with our Annual Recital.

Thank you to all parents, teachers, and students who joined us.

Throughout the year, students achieved remarkable success, mastering new skills and culminating in top-tier performances. Our teachers continually challenge students, leading to the original compositions we heard.

This recital was particularly emotional as it marks Miss Yana’s final one with us, making the closing moments especially touching.

As the final notes echoed, we all felt the deep connection we share through music. Here’s to the next chapter and all the melodies yet to come!

Behind every young musician, there is often a parent, grandparent, or family member cheering them on, driving them to lessons, listening to practice sessions, and sharing in every success along the way. ❤️

Over the years, we have had the privilege of witnessing the special bond between Benjamin and his grandpa, Leonid. Their connection, support for one another, and shared love of music are truly inspiring.

During this year's In-Class Concert, they treated us to a wonderful performance together - Grandpa Leonid on guitar and Benjamin singing "Vampire." It was a beautiful reminder that music has the power to bring generations together.

And just when everyone thought the performance was over, Benjamin ended with the unforgettable line:
"Apparently, it was caused by a mosquito's buzz." 🦟😂

The room burst into laughter, and that's exactly what these concerts are all about - music, joy, connection, and moments we'll remember long after the last note is played.

Thank you, Benjamin and Grandpa Leonid, for sharing this special moment with us. We can't wait to see what you'll bring to next year's concert! 🎶❤️
