đ Michael Silverman Leadership & Commitment Award đ
This year we honoured the legacy of Michael Silvermanâa leader who built our camp community with heart, noticed the little things, and turned everyday moments into memories. His spirit lives on in the way we care for campers and for each other.
In that spirit, weâre thrilled to announce this yearâs recipient: Annalisa Mauti. For 13 summers, Annalisa has shown unwavering commitment to our camp. This year, she took on planning all craftsâbringing organization, resourcefulness, and loads of creativity to every program. She cares deeply about our campers, supports our staff, and makes âcamp magicâ happen on purpose.
And yesâshe keeps us laughing, too. If your desk was mysteriously covered in pasta, or she wallpapers your office with signs⌠youâve met Annalisaâs playful side. She also takes a joke with graceâlike when a flock of âducksâ stole her scissors and tied them up to the A&C roof. đ
Annalisa, thank you for your leadership, your heart, and your joy.
Please join us in congratulating Michael Silverman Leadership & Commitment Award winner Annalisa Mauti! đ

They say all good things must come to an end. But why? So many campers were asking why canât we go to camp instead of school? Why is it that camp illicits such strong emotions? Why is it that people count down the days till the next camp season but never do that for school? (By the way, start the countdownâŚitâs 310 days before camp starts again).
Itâs because camp is this magical place that exists for 8 weeks, where kids can explore, be themselves, have no fear or judgement from others while trying new things, and most importantly, build lifelong friendships with others. We talked a lot as staff about creating the right conditions to create this magical camp community for our campers. The positive emails we received from families indicate that we were successful in creating the magic.
On behalf of the Leadership Team at RHCC Day Camp, we want to thank you for another incredible summer. We hope that all the great memories of the fun you had keep you smiling until we can be together again next summer - spending time with our friends and rekindling the magic of camp.
Until we dance again to Hey BabyâŚsee you in Summer 2025!

Today marked the end of our 2023 camp season. The summer just flew by, creating memories for campers and staff alike, who will cherish these for many years to come. The outpouring of emotions this afternoon as we came to the realization that the community we created over the last eight weeks wonât gather next week at flag in the morning to sing our camp song, to dance and be silly, to eat lunch with one another while engaging in genuine conversation or just to share a laugh together in each otherâs company. A goal at RHCCDC is to help campers grow as individuals over the course of their camp time. Our staff were committed to achieving this goal and watching our campers flourish as the summer went on. On behalf of the 2023 Leadership Team, I wish you the very best for the upcoming school year and start the official countdown to Summer 2024âŚ.312 days until we all come together again and do it all over again!
