A little trip down memory lane… 🌊📸✨
Back in April, our Grade 10 students traded the classroom for an unforgettable adventure in Newfoundland. From staying at Memorial University and exploring the beauty and stunning silence of Fogo Island to whale watching at Cape Spear, every day brought a new experience.
And of course, no trip to Newfoundland would be complete without kissing the cod and officially becoming Honorary Newfoundlanders! 🐟😂

Learning extends far beyond the classroom even during the summer months. 📚
Earlier this month, our Director of Guidance, Mr. Melchior, attended the International ACAC Conference in Pittsburgh, connecting with post-secondary professionals from around the world and gaining valuable insights to support our students’ future pathways.
We’re excited to bring new ideas and perspectives back to Lauremont School this fall.

Summer is a time to recharge, but it’s also a time to learn. ☀️📚
Earlier this month, faculty from both our Upper and Lower School attended the CAIS Schools Summer Leadership Institute, marking Lauremont’s first year participating as a full team. Through a variety of leadership and professional learning sessions, our educators gained new insights and ideas that they’ll bring back to our classrooms this fall.
We’re always learning so our students can too. 💙

Yesterday, our Grade 8 students participated in the Canada’s Wonderland Festival of Music. They performed for the adjudicator, who praised our performance and provided excellent feedback.
After the performance, our students put their instruments away and spent the rest of the day enjoying the park and rides with their peers in the beautiful weather.
Congratulations to the Grade 8 Band! What a wonderful way to spend their last day of school!
