📢 New Blog Post!
At Inspired 2 Read, we don’t just teach children to read—we teach them how words work. That’s where morphology comes in. 📚
Morphology is the study of word structure—how words are built using roots, prefixes, and suffixes. This understanding plays an important role in helping children make sense of new vocabulary, improve spelling and develop stronger reading and comprehension skills. ✏️
In our latest blog post, we introduce what morphology is and why it is such an essential part of literacy development.

❄️☃️ Happy Snow Yay!!!! ☃️❄️
Our Centre is closed today due to the weather. Please stay home and stay safe and warm! 🧣🧤
If you’re feeling adventurous, enjoy the snow—build a snowman, make snow forts, throw a few snowballs, or make snow angels ❄️⛄️❄️
Or, cozy up under a warm blanket with a good book (because reading is fun too! 📚😊☕️).
Stay warm and enjoy the winter magic! ❄️✨❄️

We are growing and are looking looking for a warm, energetic teacher to join our small literacy team at Inspired 2 Read in Richmond Hill. (https://inspired2read.com/)
We support children with dyslexia and struggling readers using the Orton-Gillingham approach, and also offer small group literacy classes (3–5 students) for kids who need an extra boost in reading and writing skills.
We’re currently hiring for an in-person teaching role on Saturdays, starting in September, and there’s also the potential to teach writing classes using the ThinkSRSD approach if that’s of interest.
We provide full training and ongoing support, and we’d love to hear from educators who are passionate about making a difference in children’s literacy journey.
Feel free to message us if you're interested, or tag someone you think might be a great fit.

Morphology Matters—And Our Campers Know It!
This week at our summer camp, we lived and breathed morphology! From learning spelling rules to playing word games and celebrating the last day with popsicles, our campers had a blast while building strong literacy skills.
They left knowing that morphology truly matters—and we can’t wait to welcome them back this fall!
Until then… keep learning, have fun, and stay cool! ☀️📚🍦

🎉 The first week of our Summer Literacy Camp is a wrap — and what a fantastic week it was!
We boosted our decoding skills, built fluency, and had tons of fun along the way. From rolling dice to pick challenge words, to spelling games with giant Connect 4, every activity brought out the kids’ competitive (and joyful!) spirit.
We read stories, practiced comprehension, and cheered each other on every step of the way. 📚💬
This week was a huge success, and we’re already looking forward to seeing these amazing readers back next year!
Wishing everyone a sunny, book-filled summer! 🌞📖✨

A weekend well spent! 🌟
Some of our team at Inspired 2 Read attended International Dyslexia Association Ontario Literacy Learning Conference and came back full of fresh ideas and inspiration to bring to our centre. 📚
We can't wait to put what we've learned into action! 🚀

Some of us from the Inspired 2 Read team will be attending a family conference this weekend organized by Decoding Dyslexia - Ontario, and a few of the families we support will be there too. We're really looking forward to learning, connecting, and gathering new ideas to better support our community.
Will anyone else from our network be attending? We’d love to see you there!
