The countdown is on! ⏰ The 2026-2027 school year begins in two weeks, on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026, and RCCDSB is ready to welcome students and families back to school. 🎒

Finalized transportation details for the 2026/2027 school year will be available in the RCJTC Parent Portal starting on Monday, August 17th, 2026. Until then, our RCJTC staff team is working hard to assign transportation, plan routes and work to minimize rides times for our students. Learn more at https://www.onthebus.ca/.

As minds turn to the first day of school in September, we get a lot of questions about the walking distances that may be required before transportation services can be offered. These distances vary depending on the age of the student (500 metres for JK/SK, 1.6 kilometres for Grades 1 to 6, and 2.5 kilometres for Grades 7 to 12). Since we won't be sending bus details home by email or hard copy again this year, logging into the portal is the only way to get your student's information!

We've made signing up for the parent portal even easier! When you create an account, your students will automatically be linked if your email address is on file with the school.

If you log in and don't see your student's information, please contact your school to update your email address. (RCJTC can't update this for you.)
