Sandbanks 2026 🏖️❤️
Anyone who has visited this park knows just how beautiful it is!
We had the best week ever! We enjoyed everything from huge waves to calm waters, so many walks and hikes, exploring and shopping in the surrounding little towns, and, most importantly, making memories with family that will last a lifetime. ❤️
Feeling so grateful for this little getaway and all the moments we shared together. Until next time, Sandbanks! 🌊☀️🥰

☀️ What a fantastic week and an amazing way to end my summer camps! ☀️
This week was an absolute blast, and I truly can’t believe another summer of camps has come to an end!
This summer was amazing. So many new faces, so many returning families, and every group brought its own unique energy and vibe. I feel incredibly blessed to have so many wonderful families trust me with their children and choose to spend part of their summer here at Mountain Road Homestead. ❤️
I am forever grateful for every child who came through my gates, every family who supported my little business, and all the memories we made together this summer. 🍃🌻
Now it’s time for me to slow down, soak up the rest of summer, and enjoy some much-needed adventures with my own kiddos.
First adventure… SAND BANKS! 🏖️☀️
Bring on the sunshine, family time, and a little bit of summer fun for Mama too! ❤️

🍄 Mushroom Day! 🍄🍄‍🟫
Oh my goodness... what an incredible experience! We had the absolute best time learning about the amazing mushrooms growing right here on my property.
The highlight of the day was finding the delicious and highly sought-after chanterelle! Our expert little mushroom hunters, John and Conner, found the majority of our stash. They had such sharp eyes!
I also learned that the famous fly agaric—the iconic mushroom often pictured with a red cap and white spots—has a yellow variety that can also be found in our area. Although beautiful, it is not edible and should never be consumed.
We discovered:
🍄 Tiny puffball mushrooms
🪸 A beautiful variety of colourful coral mushrooms
💙 A fascinating bolete that instantly changes from yellow to blue when it is cut open!
I learned so much in such a short time. Thank you, Forager Bee , for sharing your incredible knowledge and passion for fungi. I can’t wait to join another mushroom walk!

One fun fact that surprised me: unlike many things in nature, the plain brown and white mushrooms found in the wild are often more likely to be toxic than the brightly coloured ones. It’s not a rule, but it’s an interesting reminder that mushrooms don’t always follow the patterns we expect!

⚠️ A very important reminder: Unless you are an experienced mushroom expert, never consume wild mushrooms. Many edible species have poisonous look-alikes, and a mistake can have serious or even fatal consequences.
What an unforgettable day of learning, exploring, and appreciating the incredible diversity hiding in our forests! 🍄❤️

I enjoyed a week with just me and my girl. 💕
One-on-one time can be hard to come by when you have three children and have been the primary parent at home their whole lives. Those quiet moments together become even more special.
This week we spent our time shopping, going for walks, and soaking up the last bit of summer with a paddleboarding adventure.
These are the moments I’ll always treasure—watching her grow while still making time to simply be together. My little sidekick, my Papillon. ❤️
