At long last - photos from Adopt a Rancher, with Tom Harrison on Lumsden Beach Camp native prairie pasture and Nicole Anderson's high school students from Miller Composite. It was a great day, with riparian vegetation and rangeland health assessments, discussions of nutrient cycling in liter and cryptobiotic crusts. And, a few ticks!

The Fall session of Adopt a Rancher has wrapped up (with one heck of a crazy wind!) for this year. We look forward to the Spring 2018 sessions and encourage anyone interested in participating to contact us! It’s an awesome program and the students get a real hands on learning experience!

They braved 66km wind gusts today to tour Tom Harrison’s Ranch! The Miller High School Enviro 20 class of Mrs. Nicole Anderson had the privilege to be hosted by Tom today. Thank you to Tom for being part of our Adopt a Rancher Program and for Nicole having participated for the 4th time! She loves the AAR program and looks forward to Spring 2018!
