Join the U of R's Centre on Aging and Health for our public 2026 Brain Awareness Week event, "Dementia Care in Canada: Can We Do Better?" on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 6:30pm.
There will be a screening of documentary-style news segments about dementia and innovations in long-term care, followed by a panel discussion. Panelists will discuss whether Canada can do better, barriers to adopting these types of innovations, and there will be a Q & A with the audience.
Education Auditorium (EA 106), Main U of R Campus
Open to the public. Free admission.
Parking is free after 5:00pm in all surface Public, M & Z lots. Lots 3, 6 & 2 recommended (accessible parking available). Time limits on parking apply where signed.

Nominate an individual/organization for the CAH Innovation in Health & Wellness Award! Nomination deadline extended to Nov. 30, 2025.
The award recognizes Regina-based individuals, groups, or organizations who have introduced innovations or innovative approaches to health or wellness services or service provision; or who have conducted field research to evaluate programs or services for older adults.
Services may be related to healthcare, mental health, exercise, nutrition, social participation and inclusion, and/or community support. The award will be presented during a public Centre on Aging and Health event, such as the CAH's annual Distinguished Lecture.

Age-Friendly Regina (AFR) is a local community-based committee launched in 2018 by the Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism (SSM) as part of a World Health Organization initiative. The AFR Steering Committee wishes to invite all those interested in becoming involved with Age-Friendly Regina to join its upcoming Stakeholder Gathering (see attached invitation).
