I have just posted the first summer event, Tacos and Tequila, for Regina folks. Please see the listing in Events on the Spanish for Serious Students - Regina FB page :)
Spanish for Serious Students - Regina
Contact information, map and directions, contact form, opening hours, services, ratings, photos, videos and announcements from Spanish for Serious Students - Regina, Education Website, Regina, SK.
This page is for people in Regina who want to take Spanish classes with the goal of having a reasonable command of the language in order to travel and engage meaningfully with people in Spanish-speaking countries.
The semester is over, time to enjoy the summer (while hopefully listening to/practising Spanish when we can)! Over the summer I will continue to post from time to time on topics related to Spanish language and Hispanic cultures, on the Spanish for Serious Students - Regina page, and in the Spanish Fans in Canada group. Hope to see you reacting to the posts!
If you have a pretty good knowledge of basic Spanish (present tense), whether you have taken Level 1 or similar class before, or perhaps gone beyond it to take Level 2 or even Level 3, and you want to keep practising and maintain your Spanish, please consider taking the Práctica Oral class 1 I will offer in the fall. It will give you the opportunity to practise Level 1 vocab and grammar topics, and spend a significant block of time every two weeks hearing and speaking Spanish.
This class, and my other classes, are described in more detail in Event listings on my FB page. Please contact me by Messenger if you are interested in taking it :)
For anyone thinking of taking a Spanish class/planning a trip next winter, please have a look at the classes I plan to offer in the fall. They are listed in Events on my FB page. The Level 1 class would be suitable for beginners, anyone who wants to review basic Spanish, and anyone who may have taken Level 1 or started it before, but still has significant gaps in their understanding and ability to use basic Spanish.
Often people wait until the fall to think about classes, and then it is to late to register, if classes have already started, or if the Level 1 class is already full. So don´t delay! Have a look at the class listings, contact me if you are interested in taking a class, and let´s get the ball rolling :)
¡Sólo nos queda una semana este semestre! Only one more class in Level 3! We have been learning lots about the subjunctive, right? (as well as other things) Now students will have the summer ¨off¨, hopefully listening to and practising Spanish whenever possible. I will schedule a few social gatherings over the summer (Taco and Tequila socials), for current, past and future students, so keep your eye on the Event postings on this page and in the Spanish Fans group. ¡Hasta pronto!
Expression:
"Ella no me quiere ver ni en pintura"
"El que no se preocupe por su presente, que no se queje de su futuro."
(Notice the subjunctive use?)
😅😅😅
Useful expression:
Más reversa tiene un río
People who have studied some Spanish likely know that a descriptive adjective usually follows the noun. Usually, but not always!
