Next PCI Masterclass – April 6 with Katie Schlaikjer

We’re thrilled to welcome Katie Schlaikjer for our next Prairie Cello Institute Masterclass!

Date: Sunday, April 6
Time: 6:00–8:00 PM
Location: On-stage at Darke Hall

Katie will be in Regina performing earlier that day with the Penderecki String Quartet for the Regina Musical Club concert (3:00 PM), and we’re pleased to have her join us for an evening of cello learning and inspiration.

Limited performer spots are available – cost is $50 (e-transfer to [email protected] to reserve your place).

Observers are warmly welcome – attend by donation and enjoy an evening of music and insight.

PCI Cello Masterclass – Tomorrow!

Join us tomorrow, February 16, at 10:00 AM for the first PCI Cello Masterclass of the year with Leanne Zacharias!

Performance spots are now full, but there’s still so much to gain by attending as an observer. Watching a masterclass is a fantastic way to learn - see different approaches to playing, pick up new ideas, and gain insight into the learning process.

After 13 years of our Summer Intensive, PCI will be re-structuring and re-focusing. The 2024 Summer Intensive will be the last and from now on we will be providing one-day masterclass projects throughout the year.

This year, we’ve already had amazing classes with VC2 and Stéphane Tétreault, with more to come in 2025.

As part of this new direction, our website will be shut down in the near future. But don’t worry - you can stay connected and keep your cello fix alive by following us right here on Facebook and Instagram!
